How would you make it?
I'd take out Evil Woman. I'd leave only one between Ma-Ma-Ma Belle and Rockaria! That's two new spots.
I'd alternate 'Can't Get it...' with Strange Magic.
Good-bye 10538 Overture. It's time for Hello My Old Friend. In case this wasn't possible, because it isn't a very known track, I'd leave the empty spot. Good-bye Wilburys' song. Let's say these are two new spots.
Good-bye Do Ya. Forever.
Standin' in the Rain, Shine a Little Love and Wild West Hero have had their moments, let's give other numbers an opportunity. That gives us 3 empty spots.
All Over the World alternates with Sweet Talkin' Woman.
Showdown should leave it's place at the Olympus for either Love and Rain or Sorrow About to Fall.
When I Was a Boy leaves it's place for Alone in the Universe. Hell, the tour was called the AITU Tour and the very AITU song wasn't played.
I have 8 new spots. Additions: It's Over, Calling America, Just for Love, Moment in Paradise, Eldorado, Waterfall, One Step at a Time.
It would be interesting to hear a new live rendition of Hold On Tight, or to bring back Rock 'n' Roll is King again.
What do you think? I'm a little bit tired of hearing live the same songs over and over. ELO is cool again.
I didn't touch Mr. Blue Sky, fearing a fan apocalypse, but I'd move it from the end of the show. Maybe right in the middle of it.

Most of all I would love to hear The Diary Of Horace Wimp in the set. I have seen ELO tribute acts play the song and it always goes down very well.
Then Night in the City, Getting To The Point & One Summer Dream and as mentioned above, Alone in the Universe & Rock 'n' Roll is King

I have said on this forum many times about including TDOHW in the set, this is now the biggest hit that has never been played live. You are right in saying that the playlist is getting a little stale, hell! there are lots of songs and hits that have been ignored over the years.Hold On Tight would be a good one to revisit as it wasn't really done well live in the 80's,also as you say It's Over would be good to hear live.

I couldn't write a set list because then I'd know what was in it. I want surprises!

It suddenly struck me as I was warbling away to some songs off Armchair Theatre today, how none of them have been played live. This should be remedied right away on the next tour, here are some blinders on it. This would make me a most happy bunny.
Speaking of which, who thinks Jeff does the male raga singing on Now You're Gone himself? It sounds like him, but has it been tweaked electronically? It sounds a bit complicated compared to his usual style.

I think Jeff will continue with the same set. If we’re lucky, he’ll switch one or two songs.
I would like to hear songs from Time, Secret Messages or Eldorado (other than Can’t Get It Out of My Head).
I think we can forget any songs that haven’t been on a greatest hits collection...

Those three albums have always been criminally ignored with only a song from each ever been featured live on the recent tour (judging by people's responses,RRIK isn't that popular anyway) I'd love to hear Hold On Tight segueing into the epilogue and Four Little Diamonds would sound awesome live.
Still dreaming that Horace Wimp will still be performed at some point....

I like "Rock and Roll is King." I wouldn't call it a masterpiece, by far, but it's a fun tune that would be nice to hear live. From Time, I'd like to hear "Rain is Falling," "The Bouncer" and "Hold on Tight" live, and "Boy Blue" from Eldorado. Realistically, though, of the tens of thousands of people at each show, I would guess that not many would care about songs that were not released as singles.

my dream would be to see Jeff say something like ... "and now we're going all the way back to the beginning"
and launch in to a Move song as Woodie walked on stage, maybe for an encore - how about Words of Aaron. This video is a personal favorite with the guys all out of place on the instruments.

After listening to the Wembley or Bust album, and reading about the setlists of the last tours, I think we know we'll see some changes through the whole tour...anyway, I guess Twilight is one of the less loved by the fans if you hear the Wembley or Bust disc...I don't know if there's something about the audio edition, but it's a song with not so much applauses, the same maybe for Xanadu and Can't Get It Out Of My Head...but it's a vision of mine, of course... So, I think my setlist for the tour can be:
1. El Dorado Overture 2. Can't Get It Out Of My Head 3. Do Ya 4. It's Over 5. Starlight 6. Confusion 7. Hold On Tight 8. Livin' Thing 9. Telephone Line 10. Last Train To London 11. When I Was A Boy 12. Rockaria! 13. Strange Magic 14. Evil Woman 15. Wild West Hero 16. Sweet Talking Woman 17. Shine A Little Love 18. Turn To Stone 19. Moment In Paradise 20. Roll Over Beethoven 21. Mr. Blue Sky

If 'Twilight' didn't get as warm a reception as the other songs at Wembley I suppose it's because it's not as well-known - ie not 'Evil Woman' or 'MBS'. I adore the song but some people - certain fans - will only cheer is a song was on the latest ELO compilation CD.

I think similar to Janne, unfortunately Jeff is a bit boring and predictable for my taste when deciding the setlist (although I can't say I haven't been surprised by the inclusion of "Rockaria!" and "Last Train to London" in recent gigs' setlist).

as ive said before, id like to see concerto for a rainy day done in its entirity, in fact, why not open the show with the whole thing, it would be a great start, and it would bring mbs into the heart of the gig rather than at the end and set it in context as a part of a greater whole rather than just one stand out track.
