Helmut83 , you should get your band to add this to the set list the harmonica riff gets a central role

My brother and I are hoping to see Van soon. Anytime we go somewhere together, even the grocery store, we call it "Searching for Van Morrison". Check this track

Yeah, lots of harmonica if you want to showcase yourself. Sadly my band doesn't exist any longer. We had suffered a couple of casualties and were in the process of re-forming it when the Iron Curtain fell in March 2020 so it never started existing again.

Kind of agree that the falsetto takes the song down a notch. It seems like the song is supposed to have a call and response structure: the lead with a deeper voice echoing it - but that band only has one singer, so he does both parts. Get yourself a new band, Helmut83 - there's pent up demand for live music and many groupies just waiting for a bad ass harmonica man.

Hahaha... I really should, and after so long I'm missing the feel of being with other musicians, rehearsals, etc... plus I wouldn't complain if it comes with the bonus track of a few groupies. You are right, I hadn't noticed but the song has a call and response and the singer is doing both (which doesn't favour the result either).

RIP Lloyd Price
this song was a #1 hit 10 years before I was born. Fats Domino is said to be the piano player.

Baltimore has a lot of good local bands and thankfully there's one radio station committed to giving them air time. Now if only more people listened ...
see what you think of their latest, I guess they call this style "Americana"

anyone remember this band? a college buddy of mine was into acoustic jam bands like Grateful Dead he'd always mention this other group, Hot Tuna, that spun off from Jefferson Airplane I had never come across them in my Top40 teenage years
reminds me of listening to albums in the freshman dorm and arguing about who was any good and who was not, circa 1981 coincidentally, Hot Tuna is also having a 50th anniversary celebration

Watched a show I recorded from the weekend last night presented by Suggs from Madness, The biggest hits from 1981. This group were on, I would have loved to have got to one of their shows, even I would have been on my feet. As Suggs said, if your not dancing then why not?

EWF still perform and tour, at least in the US. I was able to see them live in Greensboro, NC, in 2018. Boogie Wonderland was the encore number, if I remember correctly. I don't know when/if one might expect to see them live in the UK, but it would be a show worth attending, for sure!
