lasttrain929 The amazing Maurice White had passed way a couple of years before, and they are all much older now, but the show was still quite dazzling. It was at an outdoor venue on a beautiful June evening and it was a wonderful concert. I posted about it in the Gig Guide thread (circa June 2018), if you'd like to read my review. (The Emotions, who teamed up with EWF for Boogie Wonderland, don't tour with them.) I checked EWF's touring schedule, and they are going to be quite busy later this year and into next year touring around the US and making all the stops they missed in 2020 and early 2021. I might try to catch them in Virginia in August of 2022, if that date fits with my work schedule.

Back in the day... In those halcyon days, when cassettes ruled our world, I copied a few recordings by my favourite Brummie band to tape. I needed a few extra tracks to fill up the tapes. Two such tracks were these... Worthy additions to any compilation tape

Thanks eloneen it looks a fantastic show from all the videos I’ve watched, indeed Maurice was a real talent. Have been playing my EWFs greatest hits on my way to golf the last two days and played well both days, maybe the music inspired me!!!

In case you missed it... Or this... Another version of the first one appears in 'another' thread Hopefully, here, more of you will appreciate the qualities that they'll bring to Rotterdam on Saturday night. At least, they'll wake everyone up

From my part of the world... Michael's first appearance showed us that he could carry on like a pro - even when 'surprised' by a gate crasher

The Ewald Collective is Bryan Ewald (lead guitarist with Starbelly) and his family + guests. They're from the Annapolis area, close to where I grew up. Great Jellyfish cover here.
