Wow, Horace, what a great night you had! I guess it was worth the wait, then.
Some good Move songs on the list there. Did Bev tell any stories about his ELO years?
Hmm, so you grabbed the set list... You mean Bev didn't walk down from the stage and hand it to you himself? *sighs happily* Still a fab night, though, and how lucky you were to bump into him like that.
Hope Keith joins us here, I always enjoy his ELO posts.

Bev told The Move story about travelling on Route 66 across America and Woody was set upon because of his long hair, Tony Curtis shooting the jet packed space invaders on the OOTB American tour and meeting Michael Jackson (he said Michael asked him to play on his album), playing support for the Beatles in his early days and Paul saying he was a better drummer than Ringo and a story about being on the road with Black Sabbath.

Amazing, Horacewimp ! I can only imagine how excited Brother Wimp and you must have been to chat with Bev Bevan himself! Pity you guys forgot about the photo, but there's the autograph to remember the moment. And all of that thanks to your psychic Horace powers. Remember to make use of them next year when you go to Wembley. You never know what might happen! Hmm, so you grabbed the set list... You mean Bev didn't walk down from the stage and hand it to you himself? *sighs happily* But Horace isn't in love with Bev Bevan. Or at least he wasn't last time I knew, maybe after the experience things changed... Glad to know you guys had such a great time.

WOW! Great year you're having H W! Great shots of Bev and band. And, nice to see his autograph hasn’t changed. Generous he signed both. Little alarmed about that power of yours. Very cool Bev’s band is made up of musicians who played songs from their former bands. Which I think is a huge bonus on top of seeing legendry Bev Bevan! And, the tickets were so cheap! How full was the theater? Maybe Mr Sinclair will add our forum to his recommended list. His site is a favorite. {Spoiler} Ya gonna frame the auto, with the flyer? I gotta guy in town.

Little alarmed about that power of yours. Jealous, you might mean (now that you know the Monster is not the only one with powers here).

No power, just a cult of personality

The gig was better attended than I thought, probably 80-100 people. There were a lot of older people in attendance with walking sticks etc, probably come to hear the 60s songs, my brother and I lowered the average age considerably, I also noticed a St Johns Ambulance on standby. I have asked Keith if he would be kind enough to link the forum from his site. What are these frames I hear you talk of I'm going to put it next to Jeff's autograph in my OOTB album cover, with my powers it might help them get back together again.

Clever move, that, H W. Use your powers while still hot trying to get the boys together before they need sticks! Can you see Jeff and Bev arriving on stage riding rascals. End up playing bumper cars trying to kill each other! Get back here, you!

Haha... as the public grows older you've got to take more precaution measures each time. Next show in a couple of years you are also gonna have a hearse in case it's too late for the ambulance for someone in the crowd.

What a fantastic night and a great write-up Horacewimp The Custard King is loooking in pretty good shape, you can't fault his enthusiasm for keeping on performing. He could probably make a tidy sum just doing the storytelling bit, he must have millions of great tales stashed away.

Bev looked very well, I googled him this morning and found he is 71, he doesn't look it.

Blimey! He is an elder statesman - most rockers of his generation are still approaching their 70's. What with all the stress Jeff has put him through you'd think he'd look a lot more careworn. Can't fault it.

I always liked Bev, when I first got into the band back in the 70s he was the main spokesman of ELO, I was not up to speed or cared who wrote and produced the songs and Bev and maybe Kelly became my favourite members.
As time went on I realised that Jeff was the main man and recently I guess I've neglected what Bev was doing. He has gone up in my estimation again after last night, he is a legend, a true professional and a gentleman.
