Loved the story about Dylan watching ELO rehearse in Japan. I was always under the impression he and Jeff didn't meet until the Wilbury days.

Saw The Feeling last night on board the Thekla, a titchy venue on a proper ship. Must say I was really impressed and dare I say might well give the Lord Dame a run for his money They have a new album out which they played more or less in its entirity after opening with one of their hits. This is brave for any band but I enjoyed every single track, despite not knowing any of them, and they finished with all their best known songs so it was a massive win. Dan, the frontman, was chatty with a good line in smutty double-entendres and seemed on top form despite having a cold, the whole band were excellent musicians and swapped instruments a bit at one point and even the backing singer was top notch in her own right, as she proved whilst doing the support slot. Although some of the songs began quietly they nearly all ended up with meaty second halves full of bounce, there was some excellent guitar work going on and lyrics with attitude. If anyone has chance to catch one of their remaining two shows at Manchester or London you really won't regret it, tickets here: www.gigsandtours.com/tour/the-feelingThe new album is called The Feeling, it's on Spotify and again I recommend it highly. Blimey, I should be on their PR staff.....wonder if they know about my "reasonable" rates....

My interest in the Feeling has grown since seeing them which has lead me to YouTubeing a lot of their stuff.
One YouTube comment, however, caught my eye. The comment by "Simon Price" written 2 years ago for this song, which opened the Feeling's ELO set -
"Not so much a Beatles influence as an ELO influence (Jeff Lynne of ELO produced this song)."
1. "Simon Price" was very intuitive to spot the future ELO/Feeling connection 2. "Simon Price" needs to brush up on his Jeff-facts

I've liked The Feeling since their first album, they have some good catchy tunes. I've seen them a few times prior to their JL's ELO support as they always seem to come to the north east each year and play a free gig. Dan is a good front man and really engages the crowd.

Yes I thought they were terrific, there must have been 5 or 6 top 30 hits in their set too. I was looking for an easy album for them 'the singles album' seems to be out of stock everywhere

Saw them just before the ELO tour playing their new album, I'd highly recommend it. It's on Spotify I think so you can listen for free first

I thought my wife was the only person in the UK who loves both classic rock (particularly ELO) and Country. Her day has just been made!
Me, I don't quite see it somehow.
