Ok. So Jeff's Facebook announced that Time just turned 34 years old so my husband and I sat down for a devoted listen in honor of the occasion. ( it's been my go to ELO album lately anyhow.)
We noticed that aside from lyrics the word "time" is used in the backup vocals of at least one song and is repeated in Prologue.
He wondered how many times the word "time" appears on the album.
Does anyone know the answer? I'm going to have to give the album another devoted listen to find out.

Any other Time related trivia or factoids out there?

Gosh, I expect the word Time is used hugely in the track Time after Time for a start, in the main and backing vocals. Can't believe it's 34 whole years since it came out. To me it's quite a modern ELO album and yet here it is, almost middle aged. Which makes me feel ANCIENT! Thanks, Jeff!

I'm trying to remember when, where and how I purchased Time back in the the early 80s but I can't. I did spend most of this period in a permanent drunken state as I was 18 and doing a 24/7 pub crawl trying to impress the girls I did buy the album on its release but was more into Duran Duran, Depeche Mode, Visage and Ultravox at the time I do remember I was disappointed with how boring the cover was.

I remember hearing it being played in the local record shop and thinking "cor! sounds like ELO!" and it was! I had no idea it was coming out, what a rubbish fan I was. I've always had a soft spot for it though, especially Twilight which is an epic opening track even now.
Altogether now.. "JUST ON THE BORDER OF YOUR WAKING MIND.."

I agree Uno it's a great album, in fact it could even be my favourite, it is always one I pick if I want to here a bit of ELO.

It's no good, I'm going to have to listen to it again properly. What with the anniversary and reading Brian's book, it's very timely. (Timely! And I didn't even mean to do that!)

Time has always been my top ELO album. Too bad that not much live stuff is available from this era. Hopefully Time will be re-issued on vinyl. Does anyone still have their concert T-shirts?

There was radio show that came on every Sunday evening and previewed new album releases. I had been waiting for a new ELO album for what seemed like decades and just happened to be listening the night they debuted Twilight. I thought it was just about the most awesome song I'd ever heard.

I've got an original shirt from the Time tour -- I got it on EBay though :/ What is up with no video of the time tour anywhere? I would literally kill someone to see video of Jeff in a muscle tee!!! Who do I have to kill, Jeff? Who. Do. I. Have. To. Kill?

There must be footage somewhere, probably in a locked vault guarded by Jeff's crack team of executive heavyweight lawyers. Although in those days perhaps bands didn't film all their gigs the way they do today? Technology was a lot more dodgy and you probably couldn't get reliably good pro-shot film.
