...but I think the Lord Dame did better in the love song department on Out of the Blue, songs like Big Wheels, Summer and Lightning, It's Over...yes, all the miserable ones. It's being happy about things he has trouble with

I have to say it's a crap song on the second worst ELO album.

Well, well, well... as you will probably know, Uno, we all have an intolerant, nazi, fascist midget inside of us. It's just a matter of hitting the wrong key, and that midget comes out in full rage. Now, is there was ever a key to hit for my fascist midget to come out, that key undoubtedly says "messing up with 'Summer & Lightning'". I mean, I can keep my head in the most extreme of disagreeing situations, except when someone calls "Summer and Lightning" miserable. Now, I'll give you time to start running until I count to 4... 4! Haha, just kidding... , but I freaking love "Summer and Lightning". Here is proof of it in a video I made over two years ago. Guess which one is #1: BTW, "Midnight blue" is # 3 there.

Haha, just kidding... , but I freaking love "Summer and Lightning". No, but yeah, but no! I love Summer and Lightning too, being a miserable song (in my opinion) doesn't make it a bad song. I mean, the lyrics are about waiting for love that's not forthcoming, being treated badly, the sun not shining whilst the other person is mucking about, that's a miserable song in my book. The chorus is uplifting too, which is a bit confusing but hey, it's the Genius himself at work here so who's worrying? I would firmly put it amongst his best love department songs. But I'm going to run away anyway - I'm not daft and I value my extremities

Ahm, now I understand why it was miserable... because the guy was feeling miserable, not because of the song itself being miserable.
You know, despite what the lyrics of "Summer and Lightning" say (you are right in that aspect) I never saw it as a love song. I think it lacks the atmosphere of a love song.

Hahaha... well, I guess "Jungle" and "Buildings have eyes" are strong candidates to be disliked, but it is surprising if we agreed in the other 21.

I have to say it's a crap song on the second worst ELO album. Sorry but I don't agree with you at all. " Midnight Blue" is one of my ELO fav songs along with " Discovery", which is one of their best albums " Last Train to London", " Don't Bring Me Down", " Confusion", " Shine A Little Love", I would never say " Discovery is their second worst album", but to each his own, I suppose But hey, this is only my opinion

The only tracks I really like are Horace Wimp & Don't Bring Me Down.
