I'm sorry to hear about Chula, Helmut83 . I hope she's feeling well. As she lives with you I'm sure she's getting all treats, fuss and love she deserves.

nobodyschild : thanks about Chula. Unfortunately most of the pictures you uploaded are a bit too small to be appreciated correctly. Why don't you try uploading them to a photo host in a good resolution, then paste the code here? That way the pics will be more visible than uploaded as attachments and we'll be able to appreciate the beauty of your pets better. The one I could see correctly, and is absolutely gorgeous, is Princess. She fully deserves that name, a real beauty! Helmut83 if you click on each picture they open and get bigger, well they do for me Yeah, I know, but for some reason at first it didn't work like that for me, it just opened a tiny image. Now it does work, thanks.

Thanks unomusette and queenofthehours, Chula has healed OK from her wounds but apparently she still has her digestive ways half-blocked at some point because she starts eating and stops after just a few bites. One way or the other, you are right, I'm taking the best care possible of her and spoiling her a lot. unomusette , let's hope it doesn't end up being like that! I mean, I know I'll always have a soft spot for cats, but with the amount of cats in the neighbourhood I don't need to have a cat of mine to pet from time to time. It's true, kitties have a wicked way of convincing you, but hopefully I'll be able to resist.

It's not just kits either, I heard a knocking at the patio doors earlier on today and it turned out to be a flippin' big SEAGULL boldly demanding I chuck out food for it by rapping with its beak I bet if I'd opened the door it would have been straight in. I think they've been watching cats and trying to copy them.

So entertaining! Does this bird give lessons? lol So maybe Disco is a disco dancer? Snowball looks like a serious rock and roll head banging birdie!

Snowball is a legend. I remember having seen his videos a long time ago, I'm surprised he's still alive! Best dancing animal ever.
Of course you wouldn't expect big elephants to move with the grace of a cockatoo, but still I'm pretty sure on this video there's a couple of times in which they dance. The elephant on the right (which's face is never fully shown) shakes it's bum to the music at 0:10, 0:45 and 1:02, and the elephant on the left shakes his head to the rhythm several times -plus he takes part in playing the piano too!

Dear forummates, sad news on this end. After a temporary recovery following the first surgery, there were complications and things went the wrong way for my beloved cat Chula so we had to put her to sleep today, after three weeks of fighting. We buried her in my grandma's yard alongside other family pets. Honestly, I'm heartbroken now, there's no way around it. She was a very special friend for me, the animal friend I've loved most by far, and she gave back a hell of a lot. But at least I have the peace of mind of not having a single thing to regret, knowing that throughout these 12 years we shared together I always took the time to spend with her, to spoil her and give her the best life she could have; that I fought as hard as was possible during her illness (there was nothing left to do), trying to comfort her at every time and being with her until the end; and that even after the end I tried to honor her friendship by giving her proper burial. Hopefully in a few days I'll be able to remember her playful personality with a smile again.

Oh, Helmut bach, what sad news. How raw you must be feeling right now *hugs* But I hope you'll be comforted, remembering what a lovely life Chula had with you. As you say, you've no reason to have any regrets at all. You gave her so much love, and from the sound of it, she returned your affection. It's not always easy to win a kitty's love, but you surely did. You'll always have those great memories of the times you spent together. Is Sanchez still calling at your house? He'll be sure to miss her too. I hope his friendly visits will cheer you.
