Sorry to hear about Chula's illness, but glad to hear that she seems to be recovering. Take care!

Pets... nice way of getting yourself into trouble for free. Once you adopt one, you are doomed for the following 15 years or so. But all the cute fuzziness... I hope your kitty recovers soon!

Pets... nice way of getting yourself into trouble for free. Once you adopt one, you are doomed for the following 15 years or so. But all the cute fuzziness... I hope your kitty recovers soon! The cute fuzziness is the bait. You bite it and suddenly you have a cute, fuzzy responsibility on your shoulders for many, many years. No regrets now, but she's the last one. Thanks vlogdance (great picture!), Horacewimp, eloneen and elophile. I've just come back from the vet once again, they had to remove the catheter she's had on her leg since a week ago. From a physical point of view it seeems the evolution is good and she's healing OK. What's keeping her down is all the shock of going through the surgery and so many visits to the vet, but now I don't have to take her there anymore for a while and giving her time at home and spoiling her a bit is supposed to go increasing her spirits gradually. Next up on this thread: how Helmut83 sacrificed his holiday trip to hire a psychologist for his cat.

You do know that you never own a cat, they own YOU. We had two, Thomas and Jet (yes he was black and yes he was named after a certain record label) Glad to hear that she is on the way back to health.

You do know that you never own a cat, they own YOU. Yeap, that's how it works! If you are good to them, cats may allow you the pleasure to be their servant.

Tired, but at least my mother is back in Bs As again and is helping me out with Chula, she (Chula) is showing signs of improvement and I don't have to take her to the vet again for 7 more days. I'm trying to retake normal life now. Thanks for asking.

Sorry to hear about Chula, but it’s good news to hear she’s improving. Also...sorry, but I could ~never~ pass up an opportunity to show off my pets...pictures incoming! Licorice, the all-black kitty. She’s our oldest, I must have only been about 5 or 6 when we got her but I can’t remember (maybe Grroosss does?) and Princess, the other kitty. And that’s Coco, our dog, I think it was 2014 when we adopted her. Attachment DeletedAttachment DeletedAttachment Deleted

And our two newest additions, Rey and Tiberius. Yes, he’s named after Captain Kirk (he’s the orange one) and his sister named after Rey from Star Wars. (Sorry about the picture—can’t seem to get it to flip the right way...)

nobodyschild: thanks about Chula. Unfortunately most of the pictures you uploaded are a bit too small to be appreciated correctly. Why don't you try uploading them to a photo host in a good resolution, then paste the code here? That way the pics will be more visible than uploaded as attachments and we'll be able to appreciate the beauty of your pets better. The one I could see correctly, and is absolutely gorgeous, is Princess. She fully deserves that name, a real beauty!

If anyone should win an award for Best Kitty Carer 2019 it surely must be Helmut83. Sounds as if you had almost as traumatic a time as Chula did but it's great news that all is now heading for a successful outcome. However I do also believe that once a cat person, always a cat person. You may well be determined never to fall for another but you will almost certainly find yourself the servant of more kits in future, they have a magical way of bending you to their will nobodyschild - your kits and doggie are just gorgeous and look really smug and contented. They've plainly lucked out in the Happy Home Lottery
