Ok lets go with your paranoid little englander theory.. Yes it was all Brexit and all the other countries involved are just jealous of our incredibly stupid political own goals. After all why wouldn't they be we've made trading with out biggest and nearest markets more difficult to go and get worse tiny deals with Japan and Australia. Yes Brexit was such a good idea it has made us even less globally popular than land stealing Israel (even they got points)
Hang on, Germany one place from the bottom with 2 points.... why is that oh, is that because they got votes from all their buddies in the EU...No? Must be World War 2 ...couldn't be the crap song could it. Why did UK get no points from the public from the numerous countries outside of the EEC. .... outside the broadcasting juries voting system which is apparently corrupt, so the public must be in on it too.
Really just accept it. I'm sorry, he seemed like a nice guy but he was lucky to get zero.
If the UK weren't one of the one funding nations and had to qualify I suspect it wouldn't have. This narrative of everyone not in the UK is out to get us, is just right-wing nonsense and allows blaming others for our own failings.
Just keep kidding yourself it was Brexit if you want.

I liked the Portugal entry and the Noway entry a good power ballad. Thought that every act put their heart into it, so won’t knock any of them.
PS still my favourite is Father Ted & Douglal.

I'm both unsurpised and surprised we lost so badly (again). I'm unsurprised because I had no expectations of us getting very far. I'm surprised because it appears nobody has learned anything from the past.
The novelty has all gone from it for me. All the songs seem so similar. I wish the songs sounded more like the countries own "sound". I thought all the songs were equally good/bad so for us to get no points is a mystery to me. For a country so good a music how do we always have losing entries? I actually liked the Jemini song (shows what I know). I'm well used to not liking "popular" music so I'd have imagined anything I hated would come first. I didn't like our entry this year but we still lost.

I can't sign off our favourite song contest this year without posting this performance from San Remo that secured Måneskin their selection to represent Italy... With an orchestra!

I honestly thought that the E word was finished for this year. But then, I saw this... Does this make it any more palatable Timeblue?

I hear Russia has been booted out of the next Eurovision contest. Putin must be crying in his Borscht.

Along with the champions league final and the Russian grand prix, little things maybe but it all adds up. What I find strange is Russia is part of the United Nations security Council, so how will this go down with the other members? I think there is a vote of no confidence for them and it will be interesting to see how China votes....

2022... Ireland's entry... The lyrics, dare I say, could've been written by the Old Banger himself And, the UK's entry... Curious song, but great production - and voice!

Ok , so here's a thing. We find a great singer with 12 million tik tok followers. Someone who is popular in Europe. Team them up with a great production and writing team (Amy Wadge co writes with Ed Sheeran btw.) Have a brilliant set. Are placed 23rd in the order of acts and come second to an invaded country. Maybe not everyone hates us lol!

I think Ukraines win should come with an asterisk denoting that they won only with the sympathy vote. We were walking it with the jury votes and they only won when the peoples vote came in,I feel sorry in a way for Sam...

Anyway He's got a number 1 and his popularity is sky high. I think he should enter again next year lol!

It's almost time for the 2023 contest! Ireland has a shortlist of six songs to choose from. I wonder if song 6 would win?
