Absolutely gorgeous pics Timeblue, who cares if it wasn't sunny? I wasn't sure where you were to begin with and was convinced that Cavtat was on one of the Italian lakes. All the pics have a lovely quality of light about them, you're looking well smart in your ELO shirt and I do wonder whether vlogdance might have visited Stari Most at some point....

Heh, not guilty of the bridge art, Uno. For once!

Hmmm, but do you have relatives in those parts?

Hmmm, but do you have relatives in those parts? Alas, no members of the Vlog clan have emigrated to Eastern Europe, as far as I know. Although I also visited Dubrovnik, with Older Brother, a few years ago. And it was still raining back then, as well.

Beautiful places, Timeblue ! Thanks for sharing. Dubrovnik looks gorgeous, very mediterranean with those orange tiles roofs. I can definitely recognize King's Landing there (where has TV taken us that we know better places that only exist in fantasy that those which have always been there in reality?). Did you take the walk of shame too? Maybe Mrs Timeblue had a few reproaches at hand? The pictures you took of Montenegro and Bosnia are wonderful. The Kravice falls are beautiful and very wide. I also liked that kind of castle wall and moat, having in mind that a long bellicose past has extended itself until relatively soon in that are I was wondering if those places are completely safe to visit nowadays.

The weather outside is absolute pants for June . It's cold, it's wet and it's no wonder I'm having a throwback to my Easter trip to the Isle of Wight this year.
The best day was Easter Sunday. I went to a small craft village in the village of Arreton near the centre of the island and it was the perfect place to be. The weather was so beautiful, like summer. It was hot and the sky was blue and everything was so green. There was an Easter egg hunt going on for the kids, a pub perfect for tea and cake, a little olde worlde amusement arcade and many little craft cabins selling everything from leather goods and pottery to sweets and grains of rice with your name written on them. Also there was a well-stocked farm shop selling many of the products grown on the island such as garlic and wine.
This is my happy-place -
I can’t think of a better way to spend a hot and sunny Easter Sunday than sitting on a shady bench by a carp pond with an ice-cream watching the ducklings scuttering about alongside a beautiful old country church to the left and the quiet path back when craft village on the right.
You can't leave Arreton without a visit to the churchyard -
Few of the graves are newer than the 1700s and they are all higgledy piggledy, poking out at all angles. There was blossom of every colour on the trees around it and further off you could see beautiful green hills and a blue sky. It was very quiet and very hot. It was cooler inside the church.
I met this chap there -
Back at the craft huts, in one of the shops ELO was playing on the radio. I told you it was the best day!

The Isle of Wight reminds me of when we used to stay at Southsea for our hols when I was a young lad.I used to hop aboard the ferry and mingle with any school class just so I'd avoid paying!

Oh, I love your happy place, queenofthehours . I copied it and put it on my desktop, to sneak a peek once in awhile.
Looks like a flower pot. Would the man have a statue standing on top of it?

The Isle of Wight looks idyllic, thanks for reminding us of Summer 2019 here in the UK queenofthehoursThe stoney faced guy looks really modern, is it supposed to be someone in particular?

Sounds and looks like a beautiful and very peaceful place to spend Easter, queenofthehours. No wonder it's your happy place, I thought it would be anyone's, but at the same time it doesn't sound like it was too crowded, was it?

Looks like a flower pot. Would the man have a statue standing on top of it? There was nothing on the man's head other than part of an arch which held up the roof. I think the little carved faces are called "corbel heads" but I'm not sure. The Isle of Wight looks idyllic, thanks for reminding us of Summer 2019 here in the UK queenofthehours The stoney faced guy looks really modern, is it supposed to be someone in particular? I think the chap looks a bit Victorian but I couldn't find out anything about who he is. He looks a bit of a character doesn't he? Maybe he was one of the old vicars? Sounds and looks like a beautiful and very peaceful place to spend Easter, queenofthehours . No wonder it's your happy place, I thought it would be anyone's, but at the same time it doesn't sound like it was too crowded, was it? It didn't seem too crowded. There was a lot of people around but not enough to stop you doing anything you wanted to do. The whole island seemed peaceful. I expect it will be packed during the summer though. Summer holidays are overrated.
Here's more peacefulness. Sandown beach (looking west towards Shanklin) at early morning. The moon was still in the sky and only joggers and dog walkers were awake -
