Gorgeous pictures, Horacewimp .
Such beautiful light and colours and so many clean, open spaces. The Danube looks perfect.
I love the Japanese garden photos.

Lovely photos, Horace! I thought that “someone important from Hungarys industrial revolution” was hilarious... and then when I got to “some guy from America’s industrial revolution” I positively died

Wonderful city, Horacewimp ! And nice pictures, in a generous amount! Honestly I was surprised by it's magnific architecture, I didn't think a city which stood behind the iron curtain could have kept such architectural wonders intact. The parliamente building, for example, is wonderful, and a testimony of a great past. I reckon it comes from the Austro-Hungarian Empire's golden times? The Millenium square (that name sounds too western for Hungary!) looks like a mix of Trafalgar Square and some building in Rome. Looking at the people on the pictures it looks like temperatures were hot. Did you catch the heatwave there? There's a couple on deck chairs in the middle of the public thermal baths' picture who were adding a few extra degrees of their own. Get a room!
