it must be catching, ive decided life is too short and after 12 years apart, I've reached out to the scattered members of my long lost band and it looks like we will get together and if all ok...play a gig late may time. .... Wish us luck

What type of music do you play? Pop-rock would have been the best description. Nothing like ELO music, I couldn't write/produce to that quality obviously. I was lucky enough to write and produce three albums, so this will be an exercise in which tracks we can all play and gig like we used to. We all parted as friends just live so far apart we never see each other

That's nice! Reminds me of Sherrie Krenn/Austin's early sound in Colourhaus.

Thank you both for the kind words. I had not heard of colour house before, I can hear similarities, I have no idea if she is a fan..she was the 12th singer I had tried so was happy she worked out so well. The previous singer sounded more like Christie Hyde so it was quite a departure.

This is proving to be a unusual month/year indeed.
This week and independently each of the other, previous singers I recorded the earlier albums with have contacted me 'out of the blue' and asked to write for/with them again.
Musically, after 12 years of retirement, 2016 is shaping up weirdly. I just need to find the time between the current day job and of course more importantly being a dad/husband.

dillwyn, that's a beautiful song! Is it you who wrote it? I'm glad your band got together again. Regardless of wether you end up having commercial success or making money out of it, music is a great therapy and a great recreational activity, so the sheer fact of getting to play again is a great thing.

Thank you. Yes I wrote/produced it. I'm playing the acoustic guitars/bass/percussion on the track. I generally did the guide vocals then had the singers redo over the top. The gig is a one-off, we all get on famously (some of us were together 10-years) but logistics/life make it too difficult to do anything else. The rest of the band all have their own projects around the uk, hence the request to write for them. I gave it all up which to concentrate on family which is why it is special for me. here is one from the first project, male vocalist this time, same band soundcloud.com/sirenblue/valentine-weota/s-BTtT3

I'm sorry! Where have I've been?
Higher is the one. Fun, upbeat sing along chorus.
