Well done, then, congrats!
So the band sounds quite multifacete with different singers. And I see you seem to take things very seriously, the recording and production sounds very professional and auditioning 12 singers speaks a lot of your dedication to the band.
"Valentine" is an interesting track as well, it sounds as having a significant Pink Floyd influence.

Thanks Helmut, yes that particular track was recorded way back in 97 (way before pro-tools) so that was the band playing to proper 2 1/4 inch tape just like the old days, no computer or s/w corrections, I loved it. I'm really impressed how perceptive you are, the lead guitarist was a big pf/marillion fan ... I have only heard them on the radio so he might well have used their influence on his guitar sound. The key/strings sounds are of that time I think (played by the drummer as it happens). As I say we had 3 deals with 3 indie labels but didn't get released on a major label, despite a few close calls. never say never though

The prep for the comeback gig is still on going for may 29th. Whilst looking for old images for the venue to use for their advert I came across a couple of unreleased tracks from 1996/97. We recorded these as basic tracks but I decided to leave them off the album so did not augment with other instruments ...this is probably closest to what we sounded like live I guess. These aren't mixed/mastered to any great level and outside of the band, these tracks will only been heard by a handful of people. Hope you enjoy them. soundcloud.com/sirenblue/when-you-go/s-FxsYesoundcloud.com/sirenblue/dream-on-weota-unreleased/s-2444t

"Mere" 7-hour rehearsal? What's not "mere" then? What a marathon, it's good enough that you survived to it!
Be careful with overrehearsing. I used to play in a band that had the obsession of rehearsing and rehearsing songs over and over and I can assure you get to a point from which your performance starts declining because you get bored of the song and play with no feeling or spontaneity whatsoever. Without realizing you start getting so automatized and bored that you end up killing the life out of the song and the spectators can feel that. In my opinion, once you get to the point in which everyone got his part right and is feeling confident about it you should only rehearse that song once in a while so you don't "waste" it and still get the joy of playing it.
What kind of venue is it?

Too Deep the first of the last two tracks posted. louisiana is small venue favoured by lots of touring indie bands holds up 150 or so ... we used to play it a lot ... always got very hot and noisy, hence us returning after all this time...very popular with bands on their way up... check out some of those names www.thelouisiana.net/about/as for over rehearsing ... we have band that are spread geographically between across the country in 5 different cities .. when we get together we have to make it worth it ... it went well everyone loved it ..just ended up tired

Another 5-hour full band session ticked off. 36 of the recorded/released songs whittled down to 15-18 (depending on how the night goes). Two more sessions before the gig, one vocal harmony, one full band. I now remember why we just didn't have time for this anymore. 5-people in this version of the group, all living in different cities, all with families and days jobs. Getting a central fully equipped rehearsal studio together is challenge enough (Glastonbury around the corner everything is fully booked). I've pulled in favours, used my 10-year old knowledge of Bristol and yet it has come off. Excuse my schoolboy french 'plus ca change, plus c'est la meme chose' I've loved it though, for those few hours nothing but total attention to the joint venture of making these songs have a life again. Part muscle memory, part wondering at their newly developed skills and me wondering why these excellent players want to be in the spending their time playing my songs. final couple of tracks weve shared on facebook .. I should have stuck it up for review on horace's weekly from second album soundcloud.com/sirenblue/inside-of-you/s-QvCeLfrom the third album soundcloud.com/sirenblue/burn-down/s-qetd9

No video worth sharing yet, only one i've found is with me singing and that is never good. I'll ask the band if they've had any pictures/clips sent.
