Not to mention Little Richard. Epic showman and a lot more likeable than Chuck Berry Likeable? He seemed more friendly than Berry, but was terribly egotistical as well. Hell of a pianist though. Well, I find him quite endearing and yes he's a whizz on the keyboard not to mention he has a great voice. He always looks as if he's having a really good time onstage too, which is infectious. I think you have to be at least a bit egotistical to go onstage, whether you show it or not. I've read/heard too much about Chuck Berry's actions in private to be able to have a good opinion of him as a person, musical influence notwithstanding. He doesn't seem to be particularly pleasant

This shot is for those who think Zeppelin are over rated. Screw you!;-) My crystal ball shows scenes of you and Helmut engaging in verbal (or typing) quarrels. In these scenes, Helmut is wearing striped, white and light blue trunks and a stahlhelm for some reason. Those visions are spot on. And I'm pointing a flaming arrow at a Zeppelin to let others see how that visually huge thing is nothing but a 5mm sheath with some stinky gas inside.

But the Zeppelin doesn't deserve the kind of fiery end the Hindenburg met... even if it's only 5mm long in your somewhat twisted but endearing mind.

That would be the thickness of the sheath, that's why I was saying it's visually huge. Don't worry about the Zeppelin's end. It couldn't be happier. It's crew are now hailed as heros and even them might be surprised to be so massively held in such a great esteem. And heck, I think your description of my mind as "somewhat twisted but endearing" isn't completely fair. When was I so endearing to you or to anyone?

Since the first posts you made a couple of years ago... god, now I have tears of love and joy in my eyes. ... and thanks for clearing up the length issue. I was mindlessly thinking a zeppelin that incredibly tiny would be quite difficult to hit with a flaming arrow, even if it's (now heroic) crew were asleep at the controls.

Oh, that's most sweet of you (someone better kill the romantic atmosphere before we take it too far)... ... and thanks for clearing up the length issue. I was mindlessly thinking a zeppelin that incredibly tiny would be quite difficult to hit with a flaming arrow, even if it's (now heroic) crew were asleep at the controls. Yeah, trying to hit a 5mm zeppelin with a flaming arrow would be like setting the house on fire to make toasts. A red-hot needle would do the trick better. Hey, how did we arrive to debating which is the most appropriate utensil to blow up a microscopic zeppelin which's crew were sleeping inside? Well, on the other side, we have done worse.

Sitting here watching the 9 o clock news in Ireland. Boner is apologising to all those who received the new U poo album for free and didn't want it! Bahahaha! I rest my case.

Who did the soundcheck for ELO on "the night the light went on on long beach" because the band had travel issues getting to the gig?

I shall always call them that from now on This was on the tv whilst Mr M and I were noshing a pub lunch today. All I could think was about the massive free publicity they were getting, once again courtesy of the BBC who are by coincidence broadcasting a gig by them this evening. Bonio must have shares in it or something.
