@helmut I'm hearing borderland? after Drive In Movie So it would be "Drive in movie borderland" according to you? I think there's one last sillable sounding to something with "e". Bah, I wanted the ram to be part of the song...

I wish I could, I would fly you over to Birmingham show you Shard End and a few other sites before taking you out on a pub crawl around the town centre pubs.

Those legendary Horace's pubs marathons, I want to be part of one of those one day...
Hey, what do you say about the lyrics of the song? Is there something you understand and we don't?

Por Suerte - Everyone agree that Helmut and his buddy had big fun playing this boogie jam session? Has it all going on! Smooooth guitar playing, zippy harmonica and a Jerry L. Lewis walk on!! Great tune. Who's your buddy Helmut? Figuring out what you're singing is worse than figuring out Jim's!

My buddy is Nikko, one of the rocker guys with whom I usually reunite to jam. He is the youngest of the bunch but plays guitar like he had years of experience. He played the guitar solo and one of the rythmic electric guitars. We had a huge laugh doing "Por suerte". I hadn't yet shown the song to anyone when he came over to help recording it and he seemed to find the lyrics amusing, so he wouldn't stop laughing behind my back as I was trying to record the voice. To make matters worse, our singing was funny too and as a result we had to do the voice takes like 300 times because we got tempted over and over, but we had a lot of fun doing it. And yeah, I think you'd have to take a Spanish course if you want to understand what I'm singing. I'm glad that you liked the harmonica BTW!

Why is Nikko not in credits? Mmmmmm... ?
Like to hear you sing a rocker. Next CD of Jim's?

You on harmonica, singing, what else? Good call laughing kept on. If I recall correctly, harmonica, singing, acoustic rythm guitar, "bass" (or bassline on the acoustic guitar, as I always do because I don't have a bass) and keyboard (that piano sound); and Nikko on electric rythm guitar, lead electric guitar and voice. Yeah, I had to leave the laughters there because at one point Nikko had to leave and we were still making failed voices takes so I called it a day and left it like that. Why is Nikko not in credits? Mmmmmm... ? I don't know, I would have liked to credit him but at one point we were driving Jim's daughter crazy by adding more and more things to the back cover. Besides, I had to ask him if he wanted to appear on the credits and he's on holidays, and we didn't know if we should credit someone else on bHabs songs too, so we decided to make it simple and credit only forum members so Jim could release the album once and for all. So I'm crediting him here, as well as another buddy of mine, Ignatius, who played electric guitar on "Loosenin' up" (it's a live recording). Like to hear you sing a rocker. Next CD of Jim's? Thanks! I love rockers, but as for singing them, I'm afraid this one was debut and farewell. I'll try to get a better singer for Jim's next CD.

Guys, guys, gals, etc. , first of all, for "Kennedy Drive", I can't tell if some of you are joking at some of the takes on the lyrics; but here is the lyrics, just so we're clear. The whole idea behind the song is having carefree time with our loved ones, moreso than a song about the 4th of July.
Jim
Driving down Kennedy Drive, Headin' to town on the 4th of July. Out for a nice summer ride. Wheels spinnin' around and around, going all over the town. We're having the time of our lives just being together.
Fireworks after the band. Drive-in movie at quarter 'leven. (as is quarter to 11, or 15 minutes to 11 PM, which would have given plenty of time, 45 minutes, for the fireworks.) Tomorrow is working again. Right now we're spinning around and around, going all over the town, we're having the time of our lives just being together.
Wheels (or we're) spinning around and around, going all over the town, and having the time of our lives just being together.

Helmut83 Did you see 8)Drive in movie...? Yeah, I saw it. Definitely sounds much more to it. But then you come to think about that whole line. The guy is driving with a girl and all of a sudden, for unexplained reasons, he declares he's going to a ram's den... it must be a ram he knows, not any ram, because he said "the" ram's den, and not "a" ram's den. I'm not really sure rams live in dens, but I know for sure they are dangerous animals, specially if you are heading directly to the place they consider their home. Even like this, it would make more sense if the guy is driving loosely (could be a twisted word for "relaxed" or "slowly", supposing he is not aware of the dangerous situation he is about to get himself into) for the ram's den, because what would "driving in movie for the ram's den" mean? That him and everything around him turned into a movie? Heck, this is the result of not having gone anywhere on my vacations... "Drive-in movie at quarter 'leven." (As in 10:45 PM, after the fireworks have had plenty of time to finish.) Now I know how Don McLean must feel with all the questions about the deep hidden meanings of the "American Pie" lyrics. Jim
