Parthenon hit his Kickstarter goal on the first day and 2 people backed him at the top "All Over the World" level. P Hux may not have a huge following, but his fans are all in.
Hux has a number of excellent songs in his catalog, some of which are equal to Lynne's work. I think it would be easy to put together my fav 12 Hux songs in a CD format. Starting with Buddah Buddah.

it's rare that I come across a P Hux song that I haven't heard before this one is credited to Huxley/Pierone and I'm guessing that's who sings it with Parthenon
lyrics go something like this:
To the left of the door was a dog with a diamond
Being chased by a chain saw pulling away
was a red wool hat
No wait, a pretty pink pill box
All I heard was a baby crying
And it blocked out the sky, couldn’t see anymore
But I knew that I would leave the closet
Truer words were never spoken
David Bowie cries for no one
Talking a lot
In a butterball tee shirt
She a freak, she’s a show, she’s a grown on her own
Like a shipwrecked castaway, in a casting hall
she feeds on flame, like what’s her name, what’s her name
As she cackles like a lass insane
Just another act of cracking
Every year won’t go down golden
David Bowie cries for no one
aho, ho, ho-ah-ho
You so need the show to go on
David Bowie cries for no one
She moved to Detroit
On a charge card
Lived alone in a backyard
til the kooks came home
and they got a little panicked
and she couldn’t hang on
Swimming in quicksand
Missing days at the drive-in
Like the other used star
They brought her in for three to five years
You so want the show to go on
David Bowie cries for no one
Sing the words you always choke on
David Bowie cries for no one
A no, ho, ho-ah-oh

Hux co-wrote this and it was voted song of the year in Costa Rica. He's now written English lyrics and recorded a version for his new album. It will be interesting to see how much he changes it up from the Spanish version - not that many of his fans ever tuned into Costa Rican radio the band was called Gandhi, the album Arigato No, the song "Simple" the new version is called "Mr Black Sky"

Hux doesn't often play bass, but when the part calls for it ...

Hux doesn't often play bass, but when the part calls for it ... I don't know about this phase of Hux's career - playing with the B-52s!

Hux's new album is being released this week, cds and various rewards. This is the third album I'm backing and can't wait to hear it! No album is a disappointment.
Give me Buddha, Buddha any day of the week!

The new P Hux album, "As Good as Advertised" is out and I'm lovin' it!
It's a less guitar driven than previous albums. Keys and bass take turns with lead guitar to drive songs forward. Lots of different drum patterns as well. There's also a greater variety of musical styles on this album than perhaps any past one.
my early favorites are Mister Black Sky, Til the World Looks Right and the title song As Good as Advertised. but "Not Going to be my Number" is a rollicking good time "This Song Reminds me of You" has a Caribbean vibe and "Bitter Tears" has a lot of ELO DNA
check it out and let me know your favorites

The last song is excellent. I need to listen to it again before I speak more fully.
I will agree, though, that it is less guitar driven with a wide variety of music styles. It sounds like a more mature album, though certainly not boring.

Speaking of age - Kaminski is 71 and Hux is 67. These guys still love to play live, albeit without all the goodies that Lynne has.

Mik is still a spring chicken even though he's probably the oldest of the group.

I knew that Eric has been around a while but not THAT long.
