Going out in a little bit to see Bohemian Rhapsody with my hubby. I'll post tomorrow with my thoughts! Mom and young Mr. eloneen have no interest in this one, so it's a well-deserved date night for the two of us!

It was the 1st time in years that Mrs T and I had been to the cinema when we saw BR last week and we too made it an evening. Afterwards we went to Frankie and Bennys for a meal, we had a great night!

Hubby and I both loved the movie!! We went out to our favorite cheap "date night" restaurant beforehand, a place that serves up healthy Mediterranean fare. When we got home, we watched the Live Aid set from Queen, as well. It was very well done, indeed! When I was a teenager, one of my best friends loved Queen as much as I loved ELO. I remember that she had a huge crush on Brian May, and even liked a boy at our school who was not the nicest person, but had hair like Mr. May. I liked Brian May's hair, too, but I wanted hair like that for myself! lol

Mrs Orioles and I took in BR last night as well. 4 stars out of 5 would be my take on it. Very enjoyable and loved the music. The theater was jammed with way more 50 somethings than at the typical show.

Very cool. This vid gave me a chance to really study the trombone being played and had me thinking, what a strange instrument making those beautiful notes and how is that done?

I caught the movie with my mom today. Since we both had off, we decided to catch a morning show so that it wouldn't be as crowded. It was also less expensive. We both really enjoyed it! They did a very good job with the music. Does anyone know if they used old audio of the band performing? Or was some of it newly recorded for the film? Either way, it sounded great.

I went to see the film earlier in the week, I was impressed it was very well done especially the Live Aid concert. I would recommend it for anyone to see.

A quote from Ray Foster in the film... "We need a song teenagers can bang their heads to in a car. Bohemian Rhapsody is not that song."
I wonder if this was wrote with this in mind....? Yes, I'm certain that it was - since Mike Myers, who played Wayne, also played Ray Foster in Bohemian Rhapsody! I saw a clip of Bohemian Rhapsody with Mike Myers in as the EMI guy. Doesn't Mike look ever so slightly like a mid-80s Jeff?

With my job slowing down some over the holidays, I've finally gotten around to seeing the film. While parts of it are problematic and annoying, I enjoyed it overall. And Rami Malek as Freddie? Give that guy the Oscar for Best Actor, now! He NAILS it, and then some!
