this one helps me get going on a "fuzzy" morning Grant-Lee Phillips falsetto singing voice is crazy good - kind of like another favorite of ours.

I need to hear fresh melodies but I'm stuck in the old school sound. No problem - they keep making more.
Webb Wilder has a brand new album out that fits my ears like a '70s turntable.

Strange as it may seem, ELO isn't my only source of popular music. I've been a big fan of this chap for more years than I care to remember...
In a few of his albums, Chris finished the music off with an epic trilogy. This one's a pretty decent one.

In 1982 Argentina invaded The Falklands / Las Malvinas. This put Chris in a major dilemma.
Although he's Irish through and through, he was born in Argentina, and educated in England. Cue Borderline...
"But these are only boys, and I will never know How men can see the wisdom in a war"

Sifting through my archives, I found this gem...
Not long after it was released I was browsing through a record shop. A quaint type of establishment where ye olde worlde vinyl records and cassette tapes were sold. By the way, with vinyl back in vogue, will cassettes be far behind?
This album was playing in the shop - and I liked it. A lot!
"What's this?", I asked.
"The new Camel", came the reply from the shopkeeper. I'd never heard of them before.
After so many years, it's still a cracking album - and sounds as current as it did back in 1984.

A collection of Irish female artists have recorded The Cranberries 'Dreams' to raise money for women and children in crisis...
Safe Ireland's mission is to "end domestic violence and make Ireland the safest country in the world for women and children".

This is really good. I’ve never heard this before, it’s a good listen, reminds me of Asia.

Sifting though more of my archives there's this, the first album from the band affectionately referred to by the late great Terry Wogan as a 'bag of spanners'
The title track...
Ordinary looking, aren't they?

Still sticking with the Bag of Spanners, Forgiven Not Forgotten has some glorious instrumentals. The Minstrel Boy is just beautiful. Toss The Feathers is something else entirely!
I couldn't agree more with one of the comments to this on YT... "Effing hell. Don't play this loud in your car while on the highway guys, you'll go double the speed limit in no time."

Remember Stylophones? Here's a rather fab version of the classic Motorhead thrash, Ace of Spades
