Let's criticize this ranking of songwriters

I've been informed by Helmut83 that the lovely Kate Bush hasn't been put on the list, don't tell Timeblue, you know his love of Kate Bush!

How can you include Madonna who I don't even think that's good but not Kate! She is such a talented songwriter, wrote about so many topics influenced a lot by literature and her voice, has there ever been a voice quite like Kate Bush's???

Also no mention of Genesis, Peter Gabriel or Phil Collins?

And what about Jaques Brel and Scott Walker? They were really creative and inspired all sorts of other interesting songwriters who've also been excluded, like Neil Hannon, Jarvis Cocker and Jake Thackray. Each one of those stomp all over the likes of Kanye West, bah!

Words cannot describe how annoyed I am that the likes of Kayne West stopped actual talented musicians like Jeff getting onto the list, Uno use your ninja powers on the authors of the list!

Shouldn't it be Jaques Brel alone? Wasn't Scott Walker the singer (like Garfunkel sang Simon's songs, but only Simon is listed in the songwriters' list)?

Pretty sure Scott Walker wrote songs too but he was probably influenced by Jaques Brel and covered some of his songs such as the epic "Jackie" Who can resist a covering a song about imagining yourself as "a singer with a Spanish bum"? Legends, the pair of them.

VERY American orientated (well,it is an American publication I suppose...) Bowie at 39? really? he should be top 10 at the very least.

I thought that, felt bad that I didn't know a lot of the names! The only one I'm happy with is Paul's ranking (though in my list he'd be number one!)
