1) Mauricio Pocchetino sacked by Spurs after half a bad season. What are your opinions? 2) Wales qualifies to the Euros for 2nd straight time after beating Hungary 2-0. Congrats, dillwyn. You'll have to start saving in order to travel with your kid.

I have a deep respect for Mauricio. He's a decent man, and a pretty decent manager. Hopefully he'll be back in management fairly soon.

Dedicated to Mr. Predrag Mijatović.
The bit this picture doesn't show ... is the line at the bottom ...... Wales. Golf. Madrid. .......... in that order apparently those who are paying him 600k a week are not seeing the funny side

The narcissist who goes by the name Jose is now in charge, a guy who has bought his trophies after being given multi millions by various directors, and is now employed by Levy who has never spent big ever. This will be interesting......

Buttler, I forgot to congratulate you guys for making perfect qualifiers, 10 victories out of 10 games. One assumes that Italy always has to qualify easily, but if we take a look at recent history it hasn't always been like that, so good on Mancini. He seems to have found the team. It will be interesting to see how Italy will do in the Euros. tremblinwilbury: how do you see Eire's chances at the playoffs? There could be a very heated up match between the two Irelands! dillwyn, that anthem rendition was chill-giving. You could sense the kind of pride and feeling of belonging that only small country people can have.

Helmut83...
The prospect of an all-Ireland final in the playoffs Path B is interesting. I'm not thinking that far ahead. Both teams have to face competition from two other nations first. Being away, they won't be easy games. The focus for my lot will be Slovakia. North of the border, it'll be Bosnia Herzegovina. I wish Norn Iron all the best. They've done very well so far.

Heard that Jose wants to bring in Zlatan Ibrahimovic,a match made in heaven as they both love each other and themselves far too much.....

Mauricio's farewell.
No hard feelings, it seems... Pochettino is a gentleman, a very classy guy, but I'm sure deep inside he must not be exactly happy about being sacked for half a bad season when he had Tottenham punching above their weight (to quote Gary Lineker) for 4 years.

Heard that Jose wants to bring in Zlatan Ibrahimovic,a match made in heaven as they both love each other and themselves far too much..... True. Spurs would suddenly lose their low profile and be all about high-sounding bravados and small scandals. Time will tell if Jose is able to top Pochettino, but unless they get him a considerably better roster than Poch had at his disposal, I don't see it happening.
