11) Buildings Have Eyes (or Stranger, if we're going by original release) I've found it! Another fan of "Buildings have eyes"! I used to think I was the only one in the world.

11) Buildings Have Eyes (or Stranger, if we're going by original release) I've found it! Another fan of "Buildings have eyes"! I used to think I was the only one in the world. I can think of at least three songs that should have been dropped from the single LP version of Secret Messages to make room for the vastly superior Buildings Have Eyes, which is the only track completed during the Wisseloord sessions to feature a vocoder (actually Dave Morgan's, as used previously on the Time Tour). Listen very carefully during the last few seconds for this and Jeff enjoying some vocal gymnastics deep into the fade out - a trick he'd later revisit with a little help from pitch shifting technology when he recorded In For The Kill...

This is going to be an incredibly hard decision to do but I will have a go! So will follow the approach of other forumheads and go chronologically 1. Queen of the Hours 2. Roll Over Beethoven 3. Dreaming of the 4000 4. Can't Get It Out of My Head 5. Poker 6. Shangri-La 7. Hmmm either It's Over or Standin' in the Rain, hmm we'll go with It's Over 8. Midnight Blue (of course) Now this is where it gets veryyy tricky because of my love for ELO's later stuff... 9. Gonna have to say The Lights Go Down although I love practically every song off Time! 10. If we're classing Xanadu as an album of ELO's then it'll probably be Xanadu (Jeff's version though not the original version ) 11. Loser Gone Wild (inspiration for my username on here!) 12. So Serious 13. Hmmm Ordinary Dream? 14. Either Fault Line or Love and Rain, hmmm gonna go with Love and Rain

This is interesting, off the top of my head, if I go chronologically - and I will certainly include Xanadu.
1. Look At Me Now 2. Momma 3. Ma-Ma-Ma Belle 4. Eldorado 5. Evil Woman 6. Tightrope 7. Sweet Is The Night 8. Midnight Blue 9. I'm Alive 10. Ticket To The Moon 11. Secret Messages 12. Heaven Only Knows 13. Alright 14. When I Was A Boy
I notice that I tend to pick the opening songs on the later, weaker albums...
