Probably doesn’t come as a surprise that Battle Of Marston Moor is in the final of the worst song poll.
We need another contender, vote above.

I could have gone for leaving you but plumped for The Whale, like Another Heart Breaks feels like an idea not completed. Some pretty thoughts but essentially musical wall-paper.

I'm leaving you, Jeff. An ex wife may have said that to him too. Actually, this was a tough choice, with After All. The Whale has some complexity to it, and I always liked the track on OTTB.

I agree with Time. The Whale is just as bad, though.

It's a trio of terribleness. After All is the very bottom of the barrel for me.

ILY, dreary rubbish and those damn drums..... I agree. Sounds like they (drums) were lifted off a Roy Orbison song Jeff produced over 20 years ago.

The Whale. But I agree, all 3 are very weak songs.

After All (full B-Side version) still sits comfortably amongst my personal ELO top ten of all time. So it's The Whale that we orca vote for! (I'll get my coat).

all 3 of these songs are well crafted and listenable, imo I'm Leaving You is something that could fit on Jeff's Long Wave album - old fashioned. The Whale could be background music on a Charley's Angels episode from late 70s. After All has a bit of a Pink Floyd vibe going.
guess I vote for The Whale just because as an atmospheric instrumental - Jeff really should have kept it to under 4 minutes, not just filled up that album side.
