My Mum sold mine at a Boot Sale about 7 yrs ago,along with all my other vinyl. My FAB 1, Thunderbird 2, James Bond Aston Martin, SHADO Interceptor, Capt Scarlet SPV and MSV , Joe and Sam's cars from Joe 90. My Scalextric and my Hornby Train sets .Basically my entire youth was sold. Dunno what she got for it but if I don't get her house when she pops off there'll be hell to pay ! lol

I have seen this album used (near-mint) and spaceship for $225 on ebay. I had been looking for one for a long time and actually bought that one, thinking it might be my only chance ever. I expect them (and all ELO collectibles) to increase significantly in value as the new album (and tour?) comes out. |

I have seen this album user (near-mint) and spaceship for $225 on ebay. I had been looking for one for a long time and actually bought that one, thinking it might be my only chance ever. Since then I have seen them list for much cheaper, even down to $20. I bought a couple of the lower priced ones like this and am selling one now at ebay to make up the $225 one. The bidding is at $121.50, which seems to be the average price for them at this time. I expect them (and all ELO collectibles) to increase significantly in value as the new album (and tour?) comes out. Not that I would part with anything in my collection! But I have some spotless ELO colour disks here. In with that blue vinyl I have Mr.BS 7" single blue, evil woman purple 12" and I know theres a yellow one somewhere? Pic disks I don't have! |

I have lynyrd skynyrd 12" pic freebird and sweet home......it has a skeleton hand pointing a 44 magnum on one side and the southern flag on the other side....I also have Magical Mystery tour in greek print and Rubber soul in Italian print.

Greetings, These blue vinyl sets are pretty nice. There are 2 versions - U.S. and UK editions and are slightly different (labels and slight variation in the blue color). Both sound comparable to their standard black editions. They are not that "rare" and can be found pretty easily with a little extra searching. The key is quality if they are used. Just like the standard issues, they can be "beat up" and worn from playing or improper storage. The newer Music On Vinyl blue editions from a few years ago are limited/numbered and were pressed on 180g virgin vinyl. They do sound excellent and the packaging is also very nice. Be aware that they were mastered from the hi-resolution digital masterings from the OOTB anniversary edition. So they do have the "drop outs", but are less compressed and do have full audio resolution as opposed to the CD mastering. OOTB vinyl with inner sleeve and space ship in Blue vinyl went for £56 this week I would have got it but my top limit was £45

I'm reminded of the story I heard in 2012 on Chris Evans' Breakfast show - some chap's wife or girlfriend had pinched his OOTB blue vinyl to melt into a vase. I'm sure it looked lovely but the woman clearly should have been reported to the RSPV - Royal Society for the Protection of Vinyl.

Apparently it's quite hard to see them with the naked eye, you need to be looking through a camera or other type of lens?
