Shocked and saddened to hear of the death of Terry Hall, lead singer of The Specials (and later Fun Boy Three/The Colour Field) after a "short illness"aged just 63.

Just seen the news, that comes as a bit of a shock. Terry was a leading light when I was growing up in the late 70s early 80s.
RIP Terry.

Terrible news, I was out with a friend last night when the news broke he is a massive Two Tone fan, he couldn’t believe it.
RIP Terry.

Shocked and saddened by this. Another musician whose work I've gradually got into, years after the hits.
RIP Terry Hall. Your impact will not be forgotten.

Heard this sad news just as I was going to bed last night, really couldn't believe it. Currently watching a recent Specials gig from the Isle of Wight that Sky Arts have put on as a tribute - although I wasn't a particular fan this was certainly the music of my teens. He was still in good voice and sounded just like in the old days. Seems Terry was a really nice guy too despite carrying the baggage of a very traumatic childhood experience.
RIP Terry, hope you've found some peace at last.

This is a shock and very sad because Terry is one of those musicians that you don't realise how much they mean to you until they're not there anymore.
