I noticed that too,but even if it did it is all subjective anyway. What I like best may be another fans worst nightmare.

Does anybody like Roll over beethoven?
not as in yeah it's OK but as in if you could only listen to 10 tracks from their catalogue would that be in it (I know I'm slightly going off topic) I could never understand why Jeff, when live always closes with that song, I would rather have Eldorado+Eldorado Finale

One Summer Dream would be my #1 too, some of the others I wouldn't agree with

How telling it is that the concert photo at the top of the article is from their mini-mini-mini-mini-mini tour in 1986. I agree with most of this list, but if you are going to go strictly with Classic ROCK, I'd eliminate MBS and OSD, which are pop. In their place I'd insert Poker and Twilight. Kudos for them adding NIC, which is a standout track from OTTB, and which Jeff has not played live since 1978.

No list is complete without Tightrope. It is the best opening to their best album. Put on your headphones late at night, close your eyes and get completely blown away.

Some years back I compiled the hardest rock tracks ELO recorded and it is my most played ELO compilation. Wish he would have created something more recently, but alas, no.

It's nearly impossible for me to create a list of my top 10 ELO songs. I know because I've tried. That being said, it was nice to see "One Summer Dream" on the list. Beautiful song and I love the live version from the Zoom tour. I would have picked "Big Wheels" or "Sweet is the Night" from OOTB instead of "Night in the City" for a deeper album cut. Also can't believe that "Tightrope" and "Turn to Stone" weren't included, as they would definitely be in my top 10 list.
Ultimately, though, it's an exercise in futility as there are literally dozens and dozens of wonderful songs in the catalog.

I love it as the finale at the concerts! It's a raucous, rollicking, fun way to end the shows, and it takes them back to the early days...I think it's quite fitting, and I danced (and sang!) my heart out at the two most recent concerts I attended when they played ROB! It's long, it's loud, it gives the strings a prominent role, and it's just plain fun! I love it!

I get why ROB is there because of of the reasons mentioned above, but I still don't like it...

Yeah it's OK as a callback to their early stuff, They also ended On the third day with "In the hall of the mountin king"...nobody puts that on thier best of CD's (someone now posts "I DO") or demands they play that on tour.
for me it's like Jeff ending his massive success as ELO on tour with "Bohemian Rhapsody"
I just don't like Roll Over Beethoven (it's sooooo looooong) and the "but they always play that at the end..." 😁
