this is a new cut of Jeff Lynne, Tom Petty, Dylan Harrison, Steve Winwood and Prince doing Harrisons 'while my guitar gently weeps' from the george harrison celebration concert nearly 20 years ago. its a very widely shared clip that in its original format was seen by over 100 million people, but the original producer has gone back to it and re edited it adding in more footage of the quite amazing virtuoso performance by Prince. its an amazing line up by any standard, and prince seems the odd one out of the bunch, but when he steps up for his guitar solo he absolutely blows the roof off the place. what an amazing performance of possibly harrisons greatest song. ive watched this over and over again this weekend. what an amazing performance... Lynnes voice sounds particularly good on this too. www.latimes.com/entertainment-arts/music/story/2021-04-29/prince-rock-hall-of-fame-while-my-guitar-gently-weeps-directors-cut

Another cover of the weepy guitar. This one by Jeff Healey with some special helpers.
The albums Hell to Pay and Feel This gave Healey 10 charting singles in Canada between 1990 and 1994, including a cover of The Beatles' "While My Guitar Gently Weeps" which featured George Harrison and Jeff Lynne on backing vocals and acoustic guitar.
Born in Toronto, Ontario, Healey was raised in the city's west end. He was adopted as an infant;[1] his adoptive father was a firefighter. When he was almost one year old, Healey lost his sight due to retinoblastoma, a rare cancer of the eyes. His eyes had to be surgically removed, and he was given ocular prostheses. Healey began playing guitar when he was three, developing his unique style of playing the instrument flat on his lap.
