BSJ, How many trick-or-treaters did you get this year? Just curious if Covid squashed the holiday or if it went ahead germs be damned. Zero at our house, but then we're in a wooded community with no sidewalks and few street lights. Not very conducive to letting kids walk around after dark.

We were surprised we got the normal amount of 30 plus kids. Being at the end of a block, leading out of the 'hood with no other house on the block but us and two other houses at this end handing out candy, we were pleased. Specially Dave! Majority of them are driven in.

We got no trick or treaters, and we have a neighborhood with lots of kids. There was a (older teen/college age?) Halloween party nearby with close to 100 people after midnight that was broken up when someone called the police. We knew something was up when we saw cars parked all up and down our quiet street and heard groups of people talking as they walked from their cars to their party destination. It was actually shocking because our neighborhood is quite serene and family oriented... It didn't last long, thank goodness, and everyone was pretty polite and respectful... But this was a superspreader event in the making, right in my neighborhood! No thanks!

We are still in sunny Suffolk (OK not sunny but VERY mild) so no tricksters here....
