Last week BBC 6 Music broadcast a one hour Roy Wood interview originally aired in 1976 in which he discussed his career with The Move,ELO and Wizzard. While I have often heard the story of The Move from Bev Bevan's perspective,I think this was the first time I had heard Roy Wood speak about it. The programme can still be heard on the link below for the next three weeks: www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b00t4rqk

Nice interview. Great story about 10538! Driving poor Bev crazy with it.

Must agree, and now can't wait to see proof of Woody's famous impression of Dusty Springfield

1976 interview? I love vintage interviews. There's just something more immediate hearing people's stories and views in the moment or just afterwards rather than 50 years afterwards. For one thing there is less music and history to cloud the early years and very often with some bands the early years are glossed over and lots of attention given to bad splits.
