Nice guide, HW, but... Welsh cakes LOW TIER?!
I could name several well-known people (some especially well-known on this forum) who would disagree...

Seconded! And black pudding is no way a low tier item, it's blimmn' lush and should be right at the top

What's wrong with steak and kidney?!
And why are all the best sweet foods on the low tier?

At a hairdresser's called Chop Chop. On their board, their nice magnetic letters read "Chop chop how you like it." Well, they did until I visited.

I totally agree, vlogdance , that's an unfair placing. At least your Welsh cakes would have been top tier to this visitor. Also, where are those Hindenburgs or however those rolls were called? They were delicious, top tier material too.

Bought these this morning to cheer our office up. "It takes a lot of rain to make a flower grow," the florist told me. Nice bloke. Had dark curly hair and wore shades. Didn't catch his name.

Here is a handy cut out and keep guide for any visitors to our fair land. Scotch eggs and anything with steak and kidney in gets my vote,in fact if you replaced the egg WITH s+k then that would be heaven.... (Totally agree with deep fried mars bars though)

As a matter of interest, what do our American friends on here think of our 'faggots' and 'Spotted Dick'?

As a matter of interest, what do our American friends on here think of our 'faggots' and 'Spotted Dick'? I can tell you that Mr Elophile's dearly departed father (who was a sweet, wonderful person but who possessed a very limited number of favorite topics) visited England and Spotted Dick may very well have been his favorite thing about your country. He found it a source of ENDLESS amusement!

As a matter of interest, what do our American friends on here think of our 'faggots' and 'Spotted Dick'? Maybe it helps that I’d heard of ‘Spotted Dick’ before I knew about the, ah, other meaning of the word, but I hardly think anything of it. I’m certainly not a representative sample, though. Especially not for my age group.
