If you get any crap about your age, nobodyschild , let one of the two headed monster know.
Fortunately we won’t require the two headed monster’s services... It’s official! nobodyschild and I will be at the Chicago show!

I just saw the tweet about Tuesday night's show in Grand Rapids. The usual selfie of the band was posted with a close up shot of the set list, which included CGIOOMH with the Eldorado intro. Question: Did all the shows after the one in Philly have this, as well? If so, that's very nice for them, but this is not a case of the early bird getting the worm...

eloneenI think so, as far as I know? It seems to have been substituted for Xanadu, but I am pretty sure Philly was the first night they played it. It was a surprise to me since I peeked at the set list before our show!

If the first post in this thread is correct, Chippa is the last person from the forum to be going to this tour (tonight?).... from all the reviews the show seems to have gone down really well again. it's has been a heck of ride since the MS version of the band has played with him in Nov 2013!

It is tonight! Leaving around 3pm to meet some friends for dinner near Nationwide Arena, then gonna hit the show. For anyone in the area, there are a handful of seats available. I'm guessing they'll do some decent walk-up sales.

I took a cursory glance at tickets for Jeff's Pittsburgh show and there are still some available, however all the tickets have been sold for the Queen show in the same arena the night before. I can make a guess at why Queen are more popular than Jeff at this moment in time but since Queen and Jeff are more or less equals and equally well loved I was hoping Jeff could sell out too!
Strangely, even though I'd love Jeff to sell out everywhere he goes, I'm glad there's still seats to see him because that means there's more of a chance for us to see him play.

I'll go out on a limb and say that Jeff and band sounded better than they did at the last show I attended in '18. Maybe it was the sound mix,the fact that I had slightly better seats, or maybe the band was just in the zone. Jeff himself sounded good, though he still missed the lyrics in a few spots. But he came off as more loose and engaged than he did the last time I saw him. Dhani Harrison's opening set was fantastic, IMO, though some of those in the crowd (the older fans, especially) seemed bemused by his almost industrial rock sound,at times.
As for the crowd, it was a mix of those who were probably in their teens and twenties during ELO's seventies heyday, with a healthy dose of forty, thirty, and twenty-somethings. I even saw a few teens, tagging along with parents or even grandparents. One young kid, in particular, was really into Showdown, and high-fived who I assumed was his dad after the song ended. Although, when they played 10538, he asked "is this a Beatles song??"
Overall, it was a great time with a really receptive crowd. I hit up a nearby bar with a couple of friends, afterwards, and indulged in too many Vodka-based drinks with cute names, but hey it was a night to celebrate so you'll have that. (Don't worry, I didn't drive home. Stayed in C-bus for the night)

Tonight is the 20th and last show of the tour. I'm already hoping for another chance to see him. Maybe they will put together a tour to promote the new album.
