So I just listened to "Who's That" off Flashback... And I'm stunned silent. It definitely seems like an homage to "You Know My Name (Look Up The Number)" by The Beatles. Take a listen, if you haven't.

I haven't heard that track since I bought Flashback way back in 2012. Like all Jeff's novelty songs it has it's time and place to be heard. It always reminded me of something the Move would have done.

I agree with tightrope it reminds me of Monty Python or The Goons.

I can think of at least two other examples where Jeff was almost certainly showing his love for Monty Python... The Bouncer is one that's been somewhat confirmed (with the choir of The Lumberjack Song a specific influence), and I'm fairly sure the final Secret Messages album cover was a nod to Terry Gilliam's animation style.

More like a nod to his days in The Idle Race thrown in too. Very silly and fun.

I couldn't and can't help thinking about this since I'd first heard "Who's That?"... 14:46 "It was almost like we could fart on record and it was going to be a #1 hit." - Walt ParazaiderNot a #1 hit or otherwise for Electric Light Orchestra but what about, "Who's That?" 31:19 "My contention is that When Terry was no longer with us, that we were no longer Chicago." - Robert LammCamelia Kath, Terry's widow, current girlfriend to Jeff Lynne (of ELO) 31:50 "A Label said man if you get rid of the horn section we'll sign you, that's like telling Elton John to get rid of the piano." - Jimmy PankowOr Electric Light Orchestra to get rid of the string section!
