Tough luck, my English friends. Sorry about the result.
In my opinion, Croatia was a fair winner, they played better and wanted it more. I think England didn't play better or worse than in the rest of the World Cup, but this time there was a good team in front and they got exposed. Particularly after Croatia's goal, England's back line, which was pretty much holding the rest of the team, lost confidence and fell to pieces.
Oh, and Dele Alli is the most overestimated player in the world. He never does anything. He scored a great goal for Tottenham 3 years ago and has been living on that ever since.
I think France has got this now. In equal conditions, I'd give France a 60%-40% chance. But I think 3 extra times and one day less of rest will be too much for Croatia's legs, particularly having to chase guys like Mbappe.

We Argies are specialists in finding consolations. Now we have discovered, to make ourselves feel better about our early exit, that: 1) The two games we lost in this World Cup were against the finalists. 2) France has received a total of 4 goal in the World Cup. 3 of them have been by Argentina, the other was on a penalty kick (by Australia). Yay! We are not so bad after all!

Apparently Mick Jagger will attend England vs Croatia! You are doomed, my English friends! (in case you aren't aware, he is said to be bad luck, and his record regarding teams he has cheered for in WCs is atrocious) It was all Jagger's fault, curse him

Apparently Mick Jagger will attend England vs Croatia! You are doomed, my English friends! (in case you aren't aware, he is said to be bad luck, and his record regarding teams he has cheered for in WCs is atrocious) It was all Jagger's fault, curse him I warned you, the English fans should have kept him out of the stadium or otherwise make him wear a Croatia jersey. His legend of bad luck in football games added yet another chapter. According to my calculations, the chances of a person attending 8 WC games and the team he cheers for losing all 8 games is 1/256, or in percentage 0,39%. Believe or bust. And some malicious Brazilian fans have been using it against other teams. Here's the explanation for Argentina, Germany and Colombia's early eliminations:

Congrats to Belgium! Even when it feels like this golden generation had a once in a lifetime opportunity to be champions and that they could have made it, a 3rd place is not an easy thing to achieve. In fact it's the best campaign in their history. And congrats to England too. This 4th place equals their best World Cup campaign outside of home soil (Italy '90) so it ranks very high in terms of achievements for this country. They went as far as they could and they have nothing to regret or reproach themselves (which is more than Argentina can say). (no England flag, so I'll use the Union one)
