Just to lower the tone, somewhat, when I bought this as an import (from the legendary and much missed Reddington's Rare Records in Birmingham) I was shocked and appalled. Not being that familiar with The Beatles at the time, was I the only one who thought Jeff was singing "She's a p***k -teaser" on Daytripper?

It was what the Beatles were singing about anyway. They just didn't say it.

Nope, I hear that too so you're definitely not alone. I expect "big teaser" was only put on the Beatles single to appease the radio people, they probably sang the proper words live but there was so much girly screaming going on nobody noticed.

Don't really have anything to say about Daytripper. But I love The Night The Light Went On In Long Beach.
Would love to see a deluxe package of that one, with more material. Does anyone know why the record company settled with only 40 minutes of music?

That's all that would fit onto an LP when it was originally released of course, the cd differs from the LP with different edits. It would be great to hear the whole concert from start to finish. I know Ma-Ma-Ma Belle is missing from the set and the On the third day suite. It would benefit from a clean up in general I think

I can't really listen to "perfect" live albums, they totally lack charm.

Until Wembley Or Bust, THIS was the best live ELO recording - by far. Well, it is, actually. Bust contains more songs - and the production is terrific - but this modest effort from 1974 is nothing short of brilliant! It's worth having for the extended Showdown alone. "Would you please welcome, from Birmingham, Ahhxford and London, England - the Electric Light Orrrchestra" (apologies to my States-side buddies here )

This album is my favorite ELO performance. Raw energy.

Someone from ELO's crew or someone from the local arranger? Anyone knows?
