one of my current faves, Aaron Lee Tasjan, touring one of his favorite musicians crib
my first thought was "Jeff would be right at home in that room"

somehow I'd never heard this one before - Slade doesn't get much play in the states but YouTube brought this one up after their Christmas song heck, I didn't even know they had a violin player

This is early Slade and this was their first biggie. Jim Lea who was their principle song writer was the violin player here although it wasn't a commonly used instrument hit wise.

been hearing this one from Steve Mason a lot lately and like it! the female vocalist that comes in after the intro sounds a lot like Annie Lennox, but I don't think it is
"great bass line everytime, we talk about the same things every day"
umm - hope he's not talking about us

Parthenon has a song where he name drops Robin Lane. I always thought "who?!?" looked her up - she had this hit back in the early '80s and she sang back up on Hux's first album one more trivia bit - she was married to Andy Summers of The Police for awhile

when I graduated from college in '84 I took a trip through Europe, different country just about every day every night we'd visit a club and without fail, a Michael Jackson song would come on (or several) heard this today and it brought back memories from 1976, a great year for music and ELO

any Yo La Tengo fans on the forum? frankly, they are a little too weird for me sometimes but I like this one - and if nothing else you can cook it for dinner
