Wow eloneen, I'm so disappointed! Discard "The Whale"? Man, that's sad! OOTB is one of my favorite ELO albums, and, yes, those two songs are my least favorite on that album. I find "Starlight" annoying, and I find "The Whale" to be kind of boring. I know I'm not alone in not caring for it. It's not terrible. It's better than "Starlight" though. Starlight is great! Mainly because the working title was either Al's Arse or Bad Salad. Can't remember which. Possibly both.

janne Everyone's musical preferences are different. One of the many reasons I dislike "Starlight" is because of the breathy singing --which I really don't like coming from anyone. (It's much more annoying when women do it, though.) I also don't like the little synth intro. I could go on... but I'll stop there. We all have our favorites....and our least favorites. It keeps life interesting.
