It has only just recently occurred to me that many JL songs/productions have a 'surfer' influence in them (like something done by The Beach Boys or The Shadows...). Just what actually constitutes a surfer song? Perhaps wailing guitars (but not in the C&W or rock style); certainly some slide guitar, and of course lots of echo...and not too many words - perhaps none.
Here's a brief list of JL songs which (in my never humble opinion) show a bit of 'surfer' style:
Another Heart Breaks Believe Me Now Epilogue & Prologue Lucky Motel Moment In Paradise Stream Of Stars Sirens The Quick & The Daft The Whale When Time Stood Still
Of course JL produced Wonderful Land & Nivram for Hank Marvin in the 90's - but those are obviously deliberately surfer songs.
Over to you - any more (or less)?
(well there's no surfing emoji)
BTW the title of this little missive is a nod to The Wiggles - it's the name of one of their albums. For most people, The Wiggles is a phase that their child goes through between the ages of 2 and 5 - but because I have two children who will probably never really grow up, The Wiggles have been my constant companion for the last 25-odd years - and I'll probably never really be rid of them!

Don't forget the fact that he pretty much nicked Across The Border from the Beach Boys Heroes & Villains

Mmm, I don't think any of them sound like a tune The Beach Boys would have done previously to Pet Sounds. Maybe Great Balls of Fire or Surrender, but not quite near.
