E-ee-evil woman. I used to hate it, then to love it, now I... Let's say Jeff could skip it in his next tour.

letter from spain ... i have never ever liked it dillwyn : it appears like your answer does not apply correctly to this thread. It's not plainly songs that you simply don't like or that you never liked; it's songs that you used to like but now you don't like that much any longer (or so says the title).

For me, if there is a song that has faded with age, its Turn to Stone. On OOTB and performed live on that tour, it was such a powerful number. It ran over and consumed the listener, like an 18 wheeler or a 747 right over your head. As it is performed today, it is too laid back, too relaxed. I still like it but it is just not the same.

Last time I'll bother. Let anyone miss the point happily.

I can't think of anything. Maybe I'm not as keen on the tracks I loved when I first found ELO - 'MBS', 'Rock n Roll is King' - but that's because I've heard them so many times I don't concentrate on them anymore. Plus I have encountered other, more stimulating, non-single songs since.
'MBS' poses a particular problem for me as I always got so exited to hear it from 2005 onwards. Now I feel almost nothing at all other than "oh good there's some ELO being played". However if I hear it on it's own in a surprising environment I love it all over again.
I guess not liking songs is mostly all down to where you hear it. I still hate ROB but hearing it live makes me change my mind for five minutes.
