Peter Gabriel won a close round two, and will advance.
Round three of the sweet sixteen features the soulful powerhouse Aretha Franklin against the glam godfather David Bowie
(remember to vote in the poll or your vote won't count)

I'm sorry to do this to Aretha but it's got to be Bowie for me.

Not a great fan of Aretha but I can't stand the overrated Bowie so I'll vote for her.

Bowie for me, for his endless inventiveness, plus his is more the type of music I grew up with. Mind you, Aretha may have only stuck to pretty much one style but she didn't half do it well.

Both have great songs. Both have annoying songs. Since "Young Americans" has to be the singularly most annoying song I have ever heard and Aretha has had more longevity, guess I'll reluctantly vote for her. Sigh.

Aretha is a National treasure, but I had to go with Bowie.
