Hi there! Haven't posted for a while. Let's say many months, hehe.
I was looking for some video footage of Last Train to London's live rendition. Believe me, I cried when these we're posted for the first time, minutes after the show. Very Argentine feeling.
Anyway, I ran across this video from "Media Dugout". It's made up of several HD recordings from all 4 shows. There are many songs, not only LTTL, which have had this trestment, and the description says "Purchase the Wembley Video and Music when it becomes available."
Really good news, though I hope it includes not only 2017 shows but also 2016's tour (and maybe Glastonbury's and the BBC presentation) because these presentations included some tunes not present on the latest tour. I mean, only the exclusive tunes from those shows, not the full presentations. They played Rock 'n' Roll is King at the BBC, Steppin' Out here and there, and it would be interesting because each place had a different characterisation: Glastonbury with daylight and that huge scenario, the Hollywood Bowl at night with fireworks and the local orchestra, BBC was a closed space with details hanging from the ceiling, you know. I doubt it will be this way, but it would be brilliant.
Apart from that, I guess an audio CD could be an option. Who knows, as a bonus for some re-re-re-re-remastered box set, or whatever Fruin plans.
Anyone has more data on the subject? Yeah, it seems obvious now that we're getting something, but if anybody has real, specific information, feel free to share. I'm hungry for official live material, specially videos. McCartney and many other stars have their tours fully covered. Come on Jeff, make it big!

Not sure if you are asking for further data about that "Media Dugout" or the Wembley DVD (I assume it's not going to include anything out of what he played that day). I couldn't tell for sure why, but I'm not too enthusiastic about the latter. Too many times those videos are badly mixed and they don't do enough justice to the live experience. At times even fan-made videos are better.
My guess is if you want a DVD including all songs that Jeff has been playing since last year and including the different settings in which they have been played you'd have to make it yourself cutting and burning different videos on a home-made DVD.

Yeah, I'm thinking about doing so. The idea basically is to pack one performance of each different song played since Hyde Park (not included, as it has its own DVD) in its most official/HD release and make a DVD/Blu-Ray out of it.

I often cry as well when listening to "Last Train to London", although only because I'm reminded such an awful song is ELO's only well-known tune in this neck of the woods. Seriously, despite the fact that I dislike the song, watching the videos of it being played live was special for me as an Argentine too, I've got to admit it. It felt a bit like a wink for us South Americans. Heck, I even dared dreaming that if Jeff was including that song on the setlist it was because he was planning to play it in these lands. Yeah, I'm thinking about doing so. The idea basically is to pack one performance of each different song played since Hyde Park (not included, as it has its own DVD) in its most official/HD release and make a DVD/Blu-Ray out of it. If you do so, please let me know. I would be interested in buying a copy -if the price is reasonable, that is.

Hahaha pricing such an illegal thing is unmoral as hell. If I end up doing it, it's for the community.

And I'm going to take care of you LTTL-haters. Don't know how, nonetheless.

And I'm going to take care of you LTTL-haters. Don't know how, nonetheless. not a lttl hater but the bassline is very similar to boogie nights by heatwave don't you think They sound the same because they make the same little game with the fifth and the seventh of the current chord. It's just a three-note similarity. The first part of the riff foesn't follow the same pattern. In fact, the riff plays over only one chord in Boogie Nights, while in LTTL it does over three chords. It would be easier to tell this with a written tab, because it's more illustrative. Apart from that, Boogie Nights isn't constructed over the bass riff, which is more of a companion to the tune, while LTTL relies heavily on it. Anyway, if it was because of similarities, I would be able to listen to Ma-Ma-Ma Belle, funny plagiarism of Jerkin' Crocus - Mott the Hoople, or Mister Kingdom, or Love and Rain!

I'm not affiliated with Media Dugout, but I do believe the description on recent uploads has been misinterpreted as an intention to sell audio and video of the Wembley concert. My guess is that they were simply asking fans to consider their work as a stop gap until something more official comes along, which is supposedly going to happen in November, likely as a replacement for the planned next ELO studio project that I've heard will be delayed until next year, with a full US tour designed to coincide with such a release. Although his absence won't affect progress on Jeff recording fresh material, it's been mentioned that Richard will hopefully return for a set of dates in 2018, and we can somewhat accurately predict when these may take place by simply looking at the commitments of other band members (for example, Mike Stevens is supposedly going to be performing with Take That as part of a 25th anniversary tour). One detail I've seen online regarding the next ELO album is that Jeff's reportedly looking to adopt a more "back to basics" production approach... I'm hoping this equates to a greater use of keyboards or prominent strings in the mix once again!

Your comments are always full of detail, I got even more info than I asked for . So good to hear Jeff remains active. Who knows, ELO might become a top pop attraction once more.
