ELO or non, i suppose.
mine would be "Confusion" for sure.
would probably be a pretty effed up sitcom.

Hmmm...hard to decide. I'm basing my choice on the title and not so much the lyrics.
"Sweet is the Night" would be a contender because I have always been a night owl- my mother says since birth!!
"Night in the City" would be another one because I love hanging out in big cities on warm summer nights. (Paris, Montreal, DC, and Atlanta come to mind.)
"One Summer Dream" because I LOVE summer - the heat, and of course the time off from teaching!
Of these three, "Sweet is the Night" is my favorite, so we have a winner! The night would be very sweet in the summer in a big city, though!
The sitcom would include lots of interesting and lighthearted encounters with fascinating people I meet as I hang out with friends and family in the evenings in major cities "All Over the World." I'm not sure it would last more than one season, though.

eloneen , I love "One Summer Dream", I think it's a masterpiece; but as the opening song for a sitcom? That alone would lower the audience 75% before the show has even started. I think a more uplifting one would be more suitable for the purpose. In my case, I'd pick "From head to toe", an '80s unreleased song by Roxette that sounds, well, very '80s (the decade I was born in), and which of course I like a lot: ELO doesn't have too many suitable songs IMO, but one that comes to my mind that could work is, casually, another unreleased song: "Buildings have eyes". It has that upbeat, light, naive atmosphere that is needed for such a thing.

I've heard about "Buildings have Eyes" but I've never actually heard the song. I'll check it out tomorrow. Thanks!

Horacewimp that would really be a perfect theme wouldn't it? the song alone makes me want to watch the sitcom. i can imagine it would be a light-hearted journey of a man trying to find his place in the world and a love to be by his side. and of course no saturdays allowed. too boring to watch an episode of a guy watching a football match, unless he really shouts his head off!

Even the title of the song sounds like it would be a good comedy sitcom, Horace spends his days with all his madcap forum friends, what's not to like
