When/where did you get the signatures. I bought them through the Face the Music website, from memory they had a limited number of signed copies so I ordered early.

To be honest I forgot it was signed until I pulled it out of the cover just now

Very nice set and thank you for sharing, queenofthehours. If I didn't already have the 40th Anniversary and the Harvest Years compilations I would go for it. Although I have to be in the right kind of mood to listen, I love that first album! There is such a special mystique to it.

On me mothers grave, Bub! I didn't have the heart to ask if Horacewimp is planning on framing it. Might be a good idea, help keep it front and center.

Such a shame. You know Windex might rid of that nasty graffiti.

My name comes from ELO combined with a childhood nickname "Neen."

Where did Neen come from then? Is it a short version of your full name?

Getting this thread back on track (or, atleast, trying to...), I thought it'd be worth it to let you know why I chose this particular name. I read somewhere that the real famous five had thought of naming themselves the Trembling Wilburys. Instead, they went 'travelling'. I liked the idea of a 'trembling wilbury', so I nabbed that one for myself. Maybe a 'trembling wilbury' is a species yet to be identified... And, I'd 'discovered' that someone else had nicked my favourite name - the author of the best diary in the world (and my second favourite ELO song)

I am a babyboomer (ie born in the era between WW2 & 1960) - so I 'ELO-ised' that to Babyzoomer; Zoom is not my favourite album (although I love it) - it just seemed like a good idea at the time (until I sobered up, then it was too late!). That explanation is so boring, I'll tell you why I always refer to Jeff Lynne as "JL". When you say 'JL' (or Jay-El), it sounds like the 'native kryptonion' names from Superman (Kal-el, Jor-el etc) - and knowing what a fan JL is of sci-fi, it always gives me a bit of a laff to refer to him as if he were from Krypton. Jeez that was a bit boring too. Shall I draw a pussycat?

back at the dawn of the internet, I chose Orioles70 as a screen name beacause the Orioles are my hometown team and Orioles5 was already taken. #5 being my boyhood idol, Brooks Robinson, the 3rd baseman for the Orioles. 70 because they won the World Series in '70 and I became a fan forever. Six years later, I became a fan forever of ELO. Thought about choosing an ELO based name for this board, but it's so much easier to just have 1 screen name.

If it's obvious or if it's a stupid mistake, bear in mind baseball is as popular in my country as curling might be in Tanzania.
