Looks like hell of a program, Horacewimp, very original and interesting, the kind that I love and would totally attend too. Gibraltar is probably alongside San Marino the weakest national team in all UEFA, with one of the smallest selection bases, most humble stadiums, etc... No wonder having scored a goal against a competitive team like Switzerland must have felt like a victory. How many people do you estimate were in attendance? Are a majority of them Brits (from the main land) on holidays like you or are there natives who attend? Were there Swiss people too in the stands?

Heard that Jose wants to bring in Zlatan Ibrahimovic,a match made in heaven as they both love each other and themselves far too much..... True. Spurs would suddenly lose their low profile and be all about high-sounding bravados and small scandals. Time will tell if Jose is able to top Pochettino, but unless they get him a considerably better roster than Poch had at his disposal, I don't see it happening. Jose will get a short term boost but the lack of money from the owners will soon find him out I think...

The capacity of the stadium is 5000 and it seemed full however one report I’ve read says the attendance was 2000 There was about 300 Swiss the rest were Gibraltar fans and the majority of those were natives, families with their kids.

Copa Libertadores shown on BBC2 - what an ending to a game! Two Flamengo goals, Red Card for River Plate, Red Card for Flamengo Did you see it? Unbelievable! River had it in it's pocket since the beginning, then at the very end Flamengo scores two and before you know it the game is over and with a different winner. It reminded me of the epic UCL '99 final between Bayern München and Manchester United. I'm a Boca fan, so imagine how much I (and most every Boca fan in Argentina) celebrated the goals. I was in Buenos Aires downtown and you could hear the Flamengo goals almost as loud as the River goals. We are sick of River winning, the last 4 or 5 years they have dominated a lot so this provided some relief for us. Now Flamengo is likely to face Liverpool in the Clubs World Cup, Timeblue.

Yes I know! Don't know what I feel about this competition though as it comes bang in the middle of a busy period of games and our glorious FA won't allow us to postpone a game which we have to play a day before the semi final of this cup.

Tough game for Wales playing away at the Olimpico agasint a well-oiled Italian team, but it also means a great opportunity to make history.

Don't remind me about that goal by Oman-Biyik. Back then it was considered a catastrophe. First WC I have memories of. In spite of the defeat then we went on to beat a few teams...

What a terrible position goalkeeper can be. No goals during 5 games and a half, one mistake and your team is out. Zenga was a good keeper, he got a bit unlucky. Our goalkeeper Sergio Goycochea on the other hand was the absolute hero of that WC for us. He saved 4 penalties in shootouts, plus a number of saves during the matches (he wasn't the keeper when Oman-Biyik scored that goal). I remember all my female cousins and practically every girl 10 to 25 in Argentina was in love with him.

If only for you, my friend Timeblue... otherwise I had no horse in that race, I was pretty much a neutral. I didn't watch the game, did you? I read it was quite an even match and Liverpool didn't have it easy.
