Yeeaahh, go Pumas! A bit shaky in the first half but killed the game on the second. I'm feeling pretty confident about this team, let's just hope we don't get to face Wales at some point...

Oooh, is that likely? Could be danger ahead if so....

Yeah, if could end up with this brotherly atmosphere of mutual support and lit the forum on fire. But no, it's quite unlikely, as it could only happen in the semifinals and it's not that probable that both teams would make it there.

Happy days then It's rather annoying me that the news over here keeps on about "the host nation going out in the opening rounds" Hello! England is only PART of the host nation! *fumes*

After having heard kazza 's story about how games generate rivalry in a Welsh-English couple, you decision seems pretty spot on, Horace!

I was unable to watch On Sat. Had recorded it but then managed to hear the score so decided not to watch the match and lust over Anita Rani on Strictly instead!

Goodbye Italy Bah... When I saw you guys were down by 7 points with 10 minutes to go and one man more on the field (15 vs. 14) I thought you were up for a great result. Lack of precision when handling the ball killed Italy.

Tough luck this time, Wales... in any case, props for having played on equal terms and not conceding a single try against a monster team like Australia. It's a pity they couldn't take advantage of being 15 vs. 13 at one point, but on the bright side, with this result Wales avoids the fearsome Pumas until the final!

Hurray! What an epic final that will be! I couldn't watch the match, I'm convinced I jinx it if I do. It is a shame they didn't take advantage when they had more players on the field but the main thing is they got through

kazza: yes, you had gotten through before the match anyway. The difference is that if you won you would have had to face Scotland in the quarterfinals, while by losing you get to play against South Africa instead.
