What a win for my brothers tonight!!¬!!!!! Will ye still love me next week when we trounce ye all Helmut?!!!!!! Hey, jefflynnenut! I was about to congratulate Eire on such a big triumph but I wasn't sure you'd be around. The Shamrock played a very solid game and are looking pretty scary right now. As for still loving you next weekend, I'm pretty sure I'll do if you guys are gentle enough to let us advance on to the semis. Otherwise I'll be more like:

Tough luck for Wales today... It was really close, but in the end the Springboks physicality prevailed. Well, in any case, the players made the Welsh name stand high, and were definitely better off than France...
I always suspected Southafricans, Newzealanders and Australians are allowed by the IRB to take some kind of anabolics that make them stronger than the rest, otherwise you can't explain their superior strength (superior to British, among others) when they are basically British' descendants.
Well, for the Welshies on this forum, it looks like now you've got no other choice than cheering for the Pumas, otherwise you'll have to bear the Irish...

I was amazed that Wales did as well as they did, even leading for a while, brilliant performance and they can leave with dignity and respect I reckon. As you say, we Welshies can devote all our energy to supporting the Pumas now, bring it on! *hides from jefflynnenut* I'm surprised to see you here, thought you'd be in the front row for Muse in the Complejo Al Rio tonight...

I'm surprised to see you here, thought you'd be in the front row for Muse in the Complejo Al Rio tonight... Wow, I wasn't even aware they were in Argentina, much less than they are playing so close to my home! That's a place by the riverside a few dozen blocks away from me, in fact I often go jogging there on Sunday afternoons. Despite not being a Muse fan I would have attended out of sheer curiosity if the gig were free (it may sound ridiculous to you but most gigs in that place are for free) or even for a small amount, but then I searched for the prices and they were ridiculously high (capitalism!!! ).

Four teams from the southern hemisphere qualified for the semifinals Yeap. Aussie by a hair and with a little help from the referee IMO on that last minute penalty but still all 4 are there.

Yep, remember all the fuss when the prices came out and they were more than a month's wages? Much as I adore them that's just wrong. And worse than that, Matt Bellamy often drapes himself in the national flag of a country at the end of the gig, someone passed a flag up to him which he dutifully wore...and it was the flag of Uruguay Anyway, to get to more important things... GO THE PUMAS!!! What a stunning win, I shall be proud to support them right to the finals, wahey!

Oh, my god... facepalm for Matt Bellamy and his flag incident. I mean, if you are brute enough so as to not know the flag of the 8th largest country in the world, at least make sure to learn from it before you play on it's soil.
And thanks for the cheers on the Pumas victory. It was a great performance against a team who was up in the odds, and it was no less than in Cardiff! Unfortunately next game against Australia will be played in London (don't forget to wish us good luck, it worked today!).

You're right, the flag was passed up from the crowd so he didn't know it was coming, but he still should have noticed it wasn't the glorious flag of Argentina. I feel I should take him aside and show him the error of his ways, just me, him and the spanking slipper.... But before all that, I reckon Australia could be beaten, Scotland nearly did it so there's no reason the Pumas shouldn't do the job properly I'll be cheering them on, that's for sure.
