So "if" the guys added a new Wilbury, who would be the top choice? (this might also make a good poll)
Joe Walsh comes to mind as my first choice...
Also, Dolly Parton, Ringo, Paul, Prince, Bonnie Raitt, Ric Ocasek, Dhani Harrison (with whom you set the stage for an everlast band that could be going 50 years from now, albeit w/o any original members, but a sort of original bloodline thing going on)
Willie Nelson.
Roy Wood could be fun.
Randy Newman?

my choice would be dave edmunds...love his songs with jeff, he worked with nearly all beatles and is a fantastic musician.

no but he might nibble a bit...  Yeah, Ric just always seems to me to embody that 50's rock-n-roll feel with his voice, while moving forward with other sounds and styles. |

How funny, when I saw the question from the main page (this is, before being able to read the answers) I was thinking of Dave Edmunds too. The connections with both Jeff and George might have had to do. John Fogerty would have been interesting. I think his superb songwriting ability for easy, simple songs and the fact that the genres he moved in have much to do with the Wilburys would have made for a good 6th member. However, his huge ego might say otherwise. Other ideas could be Brian Wilson, Ray Davies, Neil Young or Barry Gibb. |

I couldn't think of anyone that hadn't already been mentioned, so I wrote the names of five hundred random musicians on an empty wall, and threw darts at that particular wall. The first five to get a "bullseye", were the ones I chose.

Apparently it's quite hard to see them with the naked eye, you need to be looking through a camera or other type of lens?
