The most famous comedy sketch in the world (well, in Britain, anyway...) has been remade. Curiously, I can't post the video here, but you can watch it from this BBC News web page.

I thought about this sketch earlier this year when the real Sydney Lotterby passed away at the age of 93.
He produced and directed some of the greatest comedy gems including Last of the Summer Wine, Yes, Minister, Open All Hours, Ripping Yarns and Porridge. There's even a character in Porridge the Movie called Lotterby who works with Godber in the kitchen.

Rory Bremner proves here he is the most topical comedian ever. Watch out at about 2.25, it's taken 30 years but now is the perfect time for this gag .
I'd make a gif out of it if I knew how to make one.

Haha, I loved this series at the time. Jimmy Mulville also starred in a short lived comedy called 'Chelmsford 123' around the same time. The 4th actor here is John Sessions who sadly died this week... RIP

Saw this the other day, hadn't seen it for years - still really funny.
The football reference at 4:03 - brilliant.
