June 15th is the big day that Jeff will be inducted in. I am wondering if he will be there. I have been worried about Jeff for months now. We have not seen, or heard (and that's the most important thing) anything from him since Christmas 2021, as I recall. He mentioned new music then, and, nothing has happened. If he attends the ceremony, assuming that he is supposed to be there, my mind will be put to rest. But, given what we have seen of him in the last 18 months, I doubt he will be there.  |

I suppose the longer he stays away from the limelight the harder it is to come back. Hopefully he will be able to attend; his social media accounts are flagging it up which can only be a positive sign  |

As I stated in another post, if Jeff shows up and speaks that's a good sign that perhaps a new project is headed our way. I'm still 100% convinced his touring days are over, though.

I read yesterday that Pat Sajak (Wheel of Fortune) has announced that he's retiring after the next season. My first thought was that 41 years has been a bit long to stretch that job out. Jeff started w/ Idle Race about 15 years before that! We certainly can't complain about his longevity when so many rock stars flame out rather quickly.
I hope his health is good enough that he attends the songwriter's event. On his last tour, he sort of shuffled out to his mark with a little helpful guidance from Mike Stevens. And about once a show he'd mess up a line or come in late on a part. But looking at the positive side, he was able to stand up and sing and strum along for hour and a half shows while touring North America and Europe. If 4 years later, he can't do a short acceptance speech - that would be worrying. As for new live shows - I'm still hoping that he'll do some sort of farewell event. Maybe a couple dates at The Hollywood Bowl?

fingers crossed that we see a healthy Jeff on the 15th Jeff being healthy is what I'm hoping for, as well. New music, tours etc. aren't important. If we never get another live performance or new album, then so be it. He's done more than enough.

Is there evidence that Jeff IS unwell? Just because he hasn't been in the spotlight doesn't mean he is unwell. We all know that he's a shy man and is never a spotlight seeker so he could easily could walk out on stage with his band and do a set....

You're right, Timeblue, there is no evidence that he is in poor health. But, December 24, 2021 Jeff posted a video saying that he was working on some new songs and "I'll see ya soon, I hope." Nothing has happened since then and that concerns me.

He's old. Just think that out of he Wilburys, only Bob Dylan and him are still alive.

It's kind of mind boggling to think that Roy Orbsion was only 52 when he passed away, George Harrison was 58, and Tom Petty was 66.

Roy was one of those guys who seemed to have been around forever and yet like you say was only 52.

Apparently it's quite hard to see them with the naked eye, you need to be looking through a camera or other type of lens?
