I was looking for news about tonight's ceremony. Apparently, Snoop Dog has backed out - choosing to defer his induction for personal reasons. In other songwriting news, a past inductee passed away. Cynthia Weil, who co-wrote many hits with her husband, Barry Mann, passed away at 82. Her best known song is probably "You've Lost that Lovin' Feeling".
Hopefully, everything goes smoothly for Jeff tonight.

There are some photos on the JL fan group FB page of Jeff arriving at the venue in NYC. Probably have to wait til tomorrow for video clips from the ceremony.

His official Facebook page says Jeff Lynne is in Times Square, New York City. He does not look well from what I've seen elsewhere (Instagram, etc.). He has certainly aged quickly. He *may* have needed help walking by his wife at the event.

He does look like time is maybe catching up with him, can't imagaine him undertaking a big tour now. But he seems on good form and gave a great performance both accepting his induction and performing a couple of his iconic hits. Go Damey!  |

He's not smiling on any photos from last night and he does look quite frail

He has certainly aged quickly. I wouldn't say "quickly", he's 75. Honestly, I'm not surprised to see him age and look more frail than before. I wasn't expecting him to have eternal life.

He's 75 now, a little frailer as we all do when we get older, but he's all there in mind and spirit. A lot of ageing rocks stars are either comatose or away with the fairies but Jeff isn't. Let's just enjoy his remaining years, I'm sure he has many more to come....

Apparently it's quite hard to see them with the naked eye, you need to be looking through a camera or other type of lens?
