Here's the penultimate track from Graham Gouldman's latest solo album: Modesty Forbids. As a long-term 10cc fan, I think the album is pretty good and certainly worth a listen. Of this particular song, the Record Collector review says: "This album does for 10cc what Jeff Lynne has done recently for ELO's legacy. In fact, Waited All My Life For You is like ELOcc; and that's quite a thing".
See what you think....

That's a great song. It sounds uncannily like today-era Jeff which is understandable given Graham and Jeff are both geniuses.

It's hugely Jeffy, I'd have thought he was involved in it somehow but looking at some recent interviews with GG it doean't appear to be so.

Sounds so like the Beatles, great song, will have to order the album. I can remember him bringing a song out with Andrew Gold under the name WAX “ building a bridge to your heart” good song.

I've been watching too much of the Now 70s tv channel. There's parts of this ONJ song that sound to me a bit Jeff somewhere around the chorus -

Another song I've been hearing a lot on the Now 70s tv channel is this, those strings that you can hear after the middle of the track seem to be very ELO-ish -

What did the crowd do to upset you? I wasn't upset but was rather surprised at how disinterested they seemed and had no idea who they were. It was a very light crowd and it was only a 30 minute show.

The production on this song seems very similar to Jeff's work in the mid to late 80s.

Heard this song recently, and thought it was some lost song Jeff Lynne had produced in the 80's. As it turns out, it was produced by Jeff's friend Dave Edmunds, who picked up on a few of Lynne's production techniques during that time. Good song, though. Check it out...

This Swedish group, Horisont, apparently owe a lot to Jeff Lynne/ELO. A recent review of their album referred to a couple of tracks off their new album as ELO homages.
